Not at work but I sit quite forward in my chair. At home I sit with my legs tucked up underneath me but I'm not doing that so much now as it's getting uncomfortable to do so.

Thanks, I'll try to remember that.
I've never had a UTI so I have no idea what it feels like, and I think that coupled with my history I just assume every little niggle is something bad. I really need to stop being such a girl and toughen up

Hey everyone,
Just back from my 28+4 scan at the hospital - to say it was quick was an understatement, DH was a bit disappointed as they just measured the top of the head, width of belly, told me I was breach and that my placenta was looking healthy but very close to my cervix so I've been rescheduled for another appointment in 7 weeks to check if it's moved. Whole thing, including blood and urine samples, took less than 10 minutes! Didn't get to see the face or anything like previous scans. Baby now weighs 1.2kg or 2.6 pounds which is perfectly average.
Emsbet, just to warn you - it took me til 20+1 to feel the baby move. I had probably felt it for about a week previously but wasn't too sure what it was. I think it's pretty normal with first-timers to have to wait that long to feel a movement. Speaking of movements, baby is now having a go at my ribs!
Re urine samples, the only time mine was sent away for further testing other than the dip test, was when the dip test showed up that I had an infection. They gave me antibiotics right there and then and said they would call me if the results of further tests showed that I needed further medication. I never heard from them.
The only time they called me back was when I got a blood test done as I had been near a child who had a break out of chicken pox 3 days after staying at my house. They had to check if I was immune, so they did the blood test one afternoon and I got a phonecall the following afternoon to confirm I was immune and didn't need any treatment.Overpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

Emmylou, I'm Irish ( the cat's out of the bag now!) and speak Irish. Flynn is a common surname in Ireland, like Ryan or O'Shea but is not regularly used as a first name there. The name most probably came from people of other nationalities with or without Irish heritage liking the sound of the surname Flynn but I have never met an Irish person called Flynn, although I do know of people with the surname.
Many people in Ireland now call their children after Irish surnames, like Ryan, Shea, Tiernan - although these names are actually anglicised versions of the Irish surname, eg Tiernan is the anglicised version of Mac Tiarnain, Ryan is O Riain, Flynn is O FloinnOverpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

I've had loads of them! Pre-pregnancy, they took the form of going for a pee, but when you finished to still felt like you really needed to pee but there was nothing there. You then spend your entire time drinking as much liquid as you can just to get a few seconds of relief when you are actually peeing but it starts all over again the second you stop. Once you take antibiotics, the symptoms seem to stop after 3 hours for me. Other people may feel a burning sensation when they pee, or have difficulty peeing at all or end up peeing all the time - depends on the person.
During pregnancy, I've had 2 UTIs. The first time I didn't even know I had one - I just went in for a routine check at around 10 weeks and the doctor told me I had one. At 17 weeks, I thought I was having a miscarraige because I had these pains coming and going every 5-10 minutes or so that would last for a minute or two, they were along the left side of my abdomen and down around where my left ovary is. This happened on Christmas Eve night, ended up going to the out of hours doctor who got me to provide a urine sample and when he dipped the stick in, it automatically went the darkest colour it could. So he gave me a course of antibiotics and it was gone within 12 hours.
Given your history, I don't think the doctors/midwives will think you are overreacting/wasting their time. If you ever have a concern, call straight away and save yourself the worry and stress.Overpay Mortgage by £9,100 in 2013 - £9,316.16/£9,100

Hello!
Just popped over for a quick browse from 12-24 forum as i'll be 24 weeks on Sunday. Will pop my details up on the HUGE list then
I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!
Just a thought Lovecrafting - our washing machine broke a couple of months ago and I found a local company who come out and take a look at it, and most of the time if it is something like a door lock issue or a loose wire then they can fix it then and there. Ours was a loose connection to the motherboard (it would turn on, water would go in for 5 seconds then it would switch off and unlock the door), that they fixed then and there for the callout fee of £85. Parts would be extra though. And if it comes loose again within a year they come back and sort it for free. I just found their number in the yellow pages.
Sorry if you've already tried that though.
