    Happy Due Date Lucy :):)

Well i told DH, he was fine about it his mum had cervical cancer yrs and yrs ago so he knows its always a possibility that it could be something bad. Its just harder what with only losing his brother 3 months ago, and now having to think about this. He wont be telling his mum he knows tho....!

Ah Happy Eldric is unusual lol. Get ur son to google "cool baby boys names" and see if he fancies any of them ;) I still want Tate or Chace but i`m not allowed! this lil man will be caled Flynn after Sam Flynn in the Tron film, the bar is called Flynns, and BIL liked the name Flynn too.

Was awake 2-5 with faceache and headache :( day 5 of this migraine now, not good! The texts have started already, "any signs yet" "u not posted on fb for a while r u ok?" " there was an ambulance outside ur house yesterday was it for u" lmao, that was the best one! I WISH!!! I purposely have no credit on my phone now so can reply to anyone haha, i have 70p, enough to call DH if i`m out and something happens.... which is highly unlikely! xx

I should have joined you. I have been awake since 5!:eek:Hubby was snoring and then I couldn't get back to sleep. Kicked him out to the spare room and no change so gave up and got up.

Hi Ladies, been missing all weekend, no reason, just couldn't be bothered with the computer at home!

We had our antenatal class on Saturday, what a total waste of time!!! It was meant to be from 10am until 2pm but we finished by 12.30 and had almost half an hour break too! They did a bit about different positions for labour, talked about signs of labour and when to ring/go in, showed you a video of a water birth and then there was a bit about pain relief and that was it!! They were doing a tour of the hospital at the end but we'd already had a lok around so we didn't bother with that bit. Can't believe all we got was basically 2 hours telling you stuff you can read on the internet, and absolutely nothing about what to do with the baby, i thought they might show you how to change a nappy and give baby a bath!

After that we went and collected the pram, it's lovely but took rather alot of putting together! All the fabric bits came seprately and had to be built up! Looks well smart now though.

Is anyone else embarking down the cloth route?

Im tempted to get some of the new teenyfits for baby.

I'm hoping to use cloth nappies but not buying any in advance as I know several people who have spent loads of money on them only to find the ones they got don't suit their baby or they simply just don't like them. i've got disposables to use for a start then there is a lady near me who does a trial service for £4 a week. She sends you 20 different nappies with a few each of a few different types to try plus all the bits and bobs you need (liners, wraps, bin etc.) so I'll do that once baby is a few weeks old and we're (hopefully) into a bit more of a routine (or less of a blind panic anyway!).

I was worrying last night that once I finish work I'll have nothing to talk about anymore! I had the day off and DH was at work and when he got home I literally had nothing to talk about! We work at the same place so we tend to have plenty of things to discuss about different people we both know but soon I won't have that!

Ah Lisa that's rubbish, we're doing some classes with an NCT trained woman at a fraction of the price of those classes, but I'm guessing yours was an NHS class? They're really cutting back where we are, no NHS classes, no 'purple book', nothing provided in hospital, no parent craft, we can just about afford these classes we're paying for, but I worry about new families who cannot and have little support, and who can ill afford books etc, they'll have no support at all :(

We put our pram together on Sunday evening, took us ages, then realised we hadn't put the shoping basket on so had to start again! I love our little silvercross, can't wait to have our LO to put in it!
  • Well done Sammie :) I need to be that organised next week, i always do food shopping on a Monday, but dont fancy doing that on my due date haha! If i order it all on the Sunday for Monday delivery, when do they take the money out? As there wont actually be any cash in my bank until the Monday :/

Sammie, school runs r just impossible for me now, walking up the hill kills me! So if i do go, i take the car now, its actually quicker to walk tho! Luckily i have good neighbours and friends that do the morning runs for me :)

    xx

i dont think they take the money out of your bank until it has been delivered incase of any problems etc so they would take it out of your bank monday i would think. xx
