  • What does transverse mean?

Lying across the belly rather than the usual head up or down position, Baby is lying with its back inwards and head to my right side, bum to the left and hands/feet to the front.

Sometimes she might do a little roll over or stretch which feels really odd.

Just got back from my 34 week midwife appointment and baby is transverse still. My other 2 were head down by now so I don't know what this baby is playing at!! measuring small also but not bothered as I measured small with ds2 and he came out at 8lb 3!!

Right, I packed my bag for the client visit (overnight stay in hotel), collect some bits for the holiday suitcase, but haven't packed any yet. Sorted out our 'health bag' (bathroom stuff) for holiday, and taking the same one with me tonight, so don't have to re-sort all tomorrow. I it going to be quite intense when I am back tomorrow night - I am unlikely to be back before 6pm (well, I said I have to leave at 3pm, it is about 2 hour drive, but we will see about it), and we have to leave home at 4am the following morning!

I am going to finish working from hotel tonight, as OH just told me on Tuesday that one of the friends is celebrating birthday and we are invited to join the dinner party, so I want to get a present. Decided we will buy her some old book from the shop we know in next town, as she and her mum have a publishing company, or possible an old vinyl (if I find a shop for those) of jazz or some quirky music - she is into music a lot.

Well midwife appointment was only an hour late, grrrr. But all good with baby. She's offered me a sweep next Thursday if I'm still waiting. The tips were eat anything that will get bowels working. I don't do curry, so she said black cherries or pineapple. I love pineapple. Keep active, bounce on the ball, and of course, sex.

Pineapple and bouncing it is then! Haha

On a different note. If anyone is after new towels, mine just arrived and they great. Tesco have got 50% off. I got twin pack bath sheets for £9, marked down from £18. They nice and big and heavy. Just popped them in the wash now :)

  • Afternoon everyone, hope we are all having a good day. Im feeling a little better today so thats good cos i was so emotional yesterday it was ridiculous. Due to the situation i am in i have so many people sticking their nose in and telling me what i should and shouldnt be doing with regards to my ex OH and i think its that thats getting me down. Think im just going to tell people to butt out because the nearer the birth gets im findind it all very stressful.

This looks to be the best at the moment at Sainsbury's:

Glad you are feeling much more positive happydays - i have been there done that, I was a single parent when pregnant with first, I had all my family, his family, friends etc thinking they were helping but in fact it was harder when they were all saying allsorts. You will get through it and you will be ok, with or without his help!

Chin up and keep thinking of your lovely little bundle of joy :)
