    Morning All,

Wow Emsbet, love the taggy blanket. Have thought about making some bits myself but havnt found time yet maybe in a few weeks when i start mat leave.

Fluff glad the sweep went well, heres hoping your to busy to post very soon ;)

Nappies- I have approx 400ish disposables in sizes 1-3 plus the little lamb re usables from the offer. Certainly havnt spent much though most freebies or vouchers including the 20 re usables with inserts ect I have spent about £70 in total. :money:
I signed up to every website possable for vouchers plus OH did (unbeknown to him).

I am getting jelous now of all this talk of decorating baby rooms, I have no spare room and baby will be in with us which isnt a problem although a little tight for space but would now love to be setting a room just for her.

Well that was it last busy tuesday yesterday. Finally finished Girlguides last night with a BBQ in the rain up the local hill. Girls loved it, we all got very wet but enjoyed ourselves and got some fresh air. I was fine i thought untill i sat in the car to come home ohh the legs then gave in and ached sooo much, but a nice hot shower and bed did the trick.

So annoyed with local dr surgery, can never book in with MW lately either they dont have the diary available or she is already full. I tried to book my 34, 36 and 38wk app yesterday as its a new MW now and would have liked a name at least. surgery still couldnt tell me her name and had no diary for her yet, she starts today for goodness sake
Looks like its back to the drop in sessions at the local centre on a friday which means walking as there isnt any parking, fine for now but getting more tricky as time goes on.

Hope everyone has a good day, Hugs to all who need it and labour vibes to all who want them :)

Hugs ferrety - that's rubbish about not being able to see your midwife - I saw my original midwife from the booking in appointment at my last appointment at 28 weeks - she was on holiday for all of my other appointments so I had her colleague (still nice, but would've been nice to have the consistency as you say).

emsbet that blanket is SOO cute! Maybe you could set up online selling them when you feel more confident about yours skills (a friend of mine makes memory blankets and toys from people's old baby clothes and does quite well in her facebook shop).

Well I'm off to be stabbed and drained of blood in an hour for my glucose test - not looking forward to it. Also discovered I'm not too keen on lucozade original, so won't be packing any of that for the labour - it made me very gassy anyway, so probably not a good idea anyway. Will be getting breakfast at MrT afterwards so I can buy the Cussons New Mum Bath Soak (for the hospital bag) whilst I'm there as this is the cheapest I've seen it.

Just sat and did a clear-out and read of the leaflets in my Bounty 1 folder, so may make a start on my birth plan today now I've discussed a couple of things with Moon. Bit annoying though that all of the free antenatal classes run during the daytime so we'd both have to take time off from work if we wanted to attend. Still, I expect a lot of these things will be covered in our NCT ones in the evenings.

Well I suppose I'd better go and clean my teeth etc and finish packing the parcel for our Canadian friends so we can post it whilst we're in town.

Hugs to all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Oh my lord! :rotfl:

    morning ladies :)
Starting to be able to feel Beanie a lot more, they were wiggling around for ages last night rather than the odd movement here or there. :D DH can't feel it yet, but hopefully it won't be too long as the movements are getting stronger all the time and more of them are on my tummy than my bladder at last!

DH is off to a concert with his Dad tonight, and staying over, so I've got a quiet night in to myself. Think I'll try and finish my current knitting project and then have an early night as I've been so tired recently. We've just cancelled our weekend of camping in Dorset as the weather forecast looks so grim :( disappointed, but also a bit relieved as I'm so tired I quite fancy a quiet weekend at home. :o Hopefully we'll get to go in a few weeks, before I get too big to get up off an airbed!

    Morning all :)

Thanks for all the nice comments about my taggie :)SM, it is an idea to sell them but there are lots of people who do the same and who are better at it than me. I want to do as much practicing before little man arrives as I don't really know what I'm doing. I can sew in a straight line and that's about it! I want to be one of those mums that makes cool outfits for fancy dress parties and the like. My mum was always rubbish at that sort of thing and her idea of a costume would be cutting three holes in a bin bag and making us wear that with a shop bought witches hat! :rotfl:

I'm waiting for our new sofa and chair to arrive, looking forward to having somewhere more comfortable to sit! I'm a bit annoyed though as I had someone come round and clean the living room, dining room, hall/stairs and landing carpets last Friday and the one in the living room still smells funny (as in worse than before they did it!). We've had our dehumidifier in here for three days and it's made it a bit better but it still smells - not happy! The carpet now looks clean, the stains are gone, but it smells. I'm not sure if my pregnancy uber smell is picking it up more though!

I think baby boy has got himself into a hunched over position with his feet by his head or with them facing backwards as the last day or so I felt almost exlusively punches down low, where they were before but the kicks seem to have stopped so I think he's kicking backwards or can't kick properly as he's squished himself up.

Anyway enough gibberish from me :) labour vibes to the boldies.

    xx

Could you sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on the carpet and leave it for a while then vaccuum it up? Bicarb is supposed to be good for smells and perhaps it'd pick up some of the moisutre too. Although perhaps it'd pick up too much of the moisture and make clumps in the carpet! Maybe try a small corner first ;)
What makes a taggie blanket special? (sorry for the dumb questions)

As some of you might know, I'm very wary of pink clothing for girls... until I found this.

Cute, or a bit much? :D
It must be worn with this though or it doesn't count!

We put some down yesterday for a while but I might put some down tonight and leave it over night to see if it helps. I'm not sure if it's the chemicals I can now smell rather than damp. It's only the patch under the sofa. It's not damp to touch anymore and so it does smell better maybe I just need to be patient.

I think the tags on a taggie offers different textures for baby to feel and also different colours to look at.
