wow it has been quiet on here today!

BB really hope you are close to having your little bundle! Can't wait for news!

twinklie what did your cousin say? Bet it was a shock!

I saw a friend of a friend yesterday who didn't know I was pregnant and the look on her face was a picture!

I wanted to see that moneypuddle but haven't got the channel either. Let us know what its like!

Well I made the mistake of watching a repeat of One Born Every Minute just now, and at 11 days till due date, I am now quietly sh**ting myself!!

I watched it all the time earlier on in my pregnancy but haven't watched anything giving birth related for weeks! Oops.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Mrs Bryan i think you'll be able to catch it online. Maybe here http://www.sidereel.com/curiosity/season-1/episode-15

Was it the OBEM with the twins, and also the midwife giving birth? I saw that one earlier. Always makes me cry and feel a funny combination of terrified, excited and convinced I wont be able to do it.

OH is being a bit of a douche this week. Its been his birthday this week (33) and he's had the whole week off work and has spent it watching football and drinking with his friends, which would be fine if (a) we had the money for him to drink all the time, (b) it didn't effect his health in a way that worries me massively and (c) we didn't have things that needed doing around the house.

I think the reason it annoys me most is because I'm not going to be taking any holiday between now and October when the baby is due (because my boss has promised to pay me for any holiday that I have left and we really need the money!), so I'm working full time until the last minute. We still need to do the nursery, finish the bathroom etc, so even though he had an entire week off, all he did was mow the lawn once and thinks he deserves a medal. I dont know how he possibly thinks it will all get done.

And because we had a VERY rocky start to our relationship, I do worry constantly about being cheated on, especially now I feel fat, lazy, sore, tired and have back ache. I'm not a very attractive concept to come home to, so who can blame him? I know a new girl started at his work today. I asked what she was like and he said "Really nice - but not my type". I didn't mean looks wise, but it just made me feel even more poop :-(

My cousin was really funny. She was like "Erm...why did I not know about this???" Thought I was gonna get a proper telling off. She seemed really pleased and excited though. :D

It's been a lovely day but the palpitations have started already...tomorrow I fear is not going to be a good day.

  • Aaaah moneypuddle, hugs to you chick. I know how you feel; we spruced up our bathroom back in January and it still needs a bit of grouting and painting doing; this weekend my OH mostly played on the Xbox rather than spending the 2 - 3 hours it would have taken to finish it off! I would do it myself, but he wants to do it himself cos he's a perfectionist! As for your worries, try not to let things get you down - it's hard, I know, but just focus on how amazing you are to be producing and carrying this baby and how this gives you and your OH a special bond that no-one else will have. Try to be positive, as worrying will only bring you down and stress you out and we have enough hormones to deal with already! x

Hi Everyone - I meant to re-join this thread a couple of weeks ago but lost a very long message before I hit the 'post' button grrrr. Just want to wish all you ladies the very best and let you know that I had my baby girl, Josie on 16th June, weighing 8lb 7.

Very short labour (2nd baby), my waters went and contractions started at 6.45 pm on the 15th and she was born at 12:52 am on the 16th. I did get my VBAC this time but had a 3rd degree tear and we had a few scary minutes when Josie was born as the cord was around her neck and it took a while to bring her round.

Currently feeling tired and sore but glad to be home with my 2 girls. Wishing you all the very best for your births xx
