Just had a big cry. My dh just called to say he's loads of work and doesn't know if he'll be home on Friday for the consultant appointment - so that means I'll have to go on my own. :(

Unfortunately this has brought the palpitations back on, hadn't had any until now today. :(

Thanks ladies. I might have some cranberry juice in a wine glass and some chocolate brownies. It's my current, I feel naughty treat!

I can't believe how childish I'm being. Glad he's not here to get the brunt of my sulk. I know he's trying his hardest.

fluffnutter, i'd be amazed if you could see baby's rudies, amongst the other blobs and shapes on the screen! Today the sonographer pointed various organs etc out and I just smiled and nodded cos I still couldn't distinguish anything!

Hope the scan goes/went well anyway, always nice to get a glimpse of bubs. :)

Saw its face (I think) :D

But you're right, there's not much to see and there's no way you get a picture of the whole baby at once. Not sure that the sonographer even got a glimpse of the jewels, she did say 'I'm going to measure the leg now. Look away just in case' but she didn't say anything else.

As predicted child is exactly right for dates. Estimated to be 7 lb 10 now (with two weeks to go) so possibly 8 lb 10 at birth (ouch!) with six feet long legs.

Jovichick - that is one really cute baby!

Jovi, he is gorgeous! What a cutie.

I had my SPD class today. The physiotherapist was really nice and I found it quite worthwhile. I've come away with a tubigrip (don't expect that to help much but will give it a go) and an appointment for hydrotherapy (which I am looking forward to) plus a one to one physio session booked for two weeks time.

Hugs and labour vibes to anyone in need of them x

    Cripes.

Just had call from the MW who i saw at monitoring today. I don't know if you remember (or care!) but I've been having regular growth scans and monitoring for the last few weeks after baby was measuring on the 90th centile and then growth seemed to tail off. Anyway, since then, both baby and I have both appeared absolutely fine and dandy.

Consultant wasn't available to see after today's scan, but MW took a look and thought it looked fine. DH and I looked and thought that the growth still appeared to be tailing off a bit - baby is now on the 50th centile, i.e. average, having been mahoosive previously.

MW said she was going to take my scan and notes over to the consultant after clinic, and hopefully get me discharged, then give me a ring.

Anyway, she just called and....the consultant wants to induce me at term - i.e. this thursday!!!!!!! However, I don't want to make any hasty decisions, so I'm going back to see the MW tomorrow first thing, for a sweep/exam. Once we know what my cervix is up to it might help make the decision. Apparently if I am induced by pessary only, I can still have a waterbirth. However, my cervix needs to be favourable for this to work. If pessary doesn't work, I'll have to go to the other labour ward for an IV drip, therefore no waterbirth.

Anyone got any thoughts/advice/words of wisdom re inductions, sweeps etc? I'm scared!

    This sh*t just got real.....!

    BB x
