I purchased a bed from Dreams online because there were none in show rooms. There is nothing wrong with the bed, its just too big. Will this be enough for Dreams to accpet to return it, since i have had it less than 7 days?
Thanks in advance!

You should be covered by the DSRs. You don't have 7 days to return it btw, just 7 working days, after delivery, to inform them that you wish to cancel. You also do not have to give any reason to return the bed.0

Under the distance selling regulations you have upto 7 working days to inform them that you would like to return the product. Techincally they are meant to refund you straight away even if the item has not been sent but this rarely happens as most people have common sense in that a refund won't be processed until the item has been sent back.
You should also be refunded the postage (if any) they charged for getting the item to you but you may have to pay to get the item back to them. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

You can return it under DSR, without reason as long as you inform them within 7 WORKING days beginning with the day after delivery, this has to be done in a durable means, (e-mail will suffice),
However you may have to pay return delivery charges IF they informed you prior to delivery in a durable means,(not just on their website).
Also, have you slept on it? Because if you have then there are plenty of threads on here that say you cannot return if you have for hygiene reason, but the DSR do not state this in relation to mattresses, (if still in it's protective wrapping there should be no problems), although you may have problems with Dreams regardless!

Don't let them fob you off about mattresses being non-returnable due to 'health and safety' reasons. Or another thing they might try is that you've taken the packaging off. Beds and mattresses are not exempt from the DSRs and it's perfectly acceptable to unpack and inspect goods.
Hopefully you'll have no problems but I've seen enough threads on here to know that returning mattresses in particular can be tricky."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Thanks guys really appreciated. Anyway i didn't order a mattress from them, just the frame, so i will tell them i havent used it.0

OK i rang them up, at first they said they weren't gonna offer a refund. Then they offered a exchange at 80% of the value as i said i hadn't seen the bed instore and it was unavailable in all the stores i checked. Anyway i can get a higher value return rate?0

yes of course, if ordered at a distance and not in store you are entitled to a full refund. Inform them of your rights under the distance selling regulations - they do have a right to reduce a refund by the amount it costs to return the bed to them if you won't do this or arrange and pay for this yourself.0

Rather than just asking them if you can return the goods, make sure that you inform them you are exercising your right to return under DSR (Distance Selling Regulations)The Daily Mail

Bear in mind that you may not be able to return it to a store. If you are allowed to do so, they may reduce the refund equivalent to reasonable costs for returning the bed.
But as said earlier, if they do not advise that DSR returns are chargeable (either via email or on the paperwork that came with the bed), then they are also liable for returns costs.
So as already said, inform them (in writing - email is fine) that you are exercising your rights to return under DSR.0 -
