The car in front then reversed into them. There was nothing they could do as there was another car behind so they couldn't reverse themselves. Because there were no witnesses (no-one else stopped), the accident went down as the fault of the person I know!
If there was another car behind them, couldn't they have counted as a witness?0 -
I think I saw a recommendation sent to Honest John the other day. Roadhawk? Maybe google it.
There was a thread all about it because I started one asking for recommendations, Ill search for it....

^^ Ah the old thread, much easier than re-explaining everything
Well.... I've just been brake tested today, driver 2 cars ahead was utterly incapable of maintaining a good/constant speed, tootling along at 25-35 in a 50 limit. Nobody interested in overtaking him, so I decide to do some traffic hopping, took 1 car (a Honda) no problem, 2nd car (Merc) no problem, next car is some old !!!!! in a Nissan Pixo, I tuck in behind, giving him lots of room (I even give the driver behind a thumbs up to say thanks for not being a tw4t) then he (Mr Pixo) slams on the brakes and slows to 10mph, BUT to be honest I just thought he was panic braking because of oncoming cars (it fitted the car/driver profile).
We carry on and as we open into the next long section I wait for the dashed lines and pull out for a nice easy overtake, he now leans on the horn and starts flashing his headlights (while im next to him)..... Then it dawned on me that he had in fact brake tested me earlier.
Part of me wanted to stop and point out the error of his ways, it would have been very amusing to discuss the highway code and how overtaking is not in fact illegal......
"it's not illegal to overtake a slower moving car, but it IS illegal AND an instant £30 fine to drive around in perfect daylight with your front fog lights on, you stupid little man!!!!!!!!!!" :rotfl:“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The OP stopped in time. Therefore he was keeping a safe distance. Making the moron aware of your presence in this instance is entirely acceptable.0
