Apart from the oil the only other thing great that happened in Scotland was Elvis landed there once.

the reason that Weigi is moaning is because if independance comes who is going to supply the Giros which includes free rent and council tax and the "regulation weigi motability free car" to the whole population of Glasgow(City of Bloodsuckers).

I'm afraid they all had to go to other Lands to become great.

Granted i am not part of the government, my views are what i read in the papers/internet and see on TV so it is backed up in that respect.

I started the thread to get views on independce and or devo-max, not to annoy anyone.

What would enchance independence to you?[/QU
Sorry if I have given the impression that you have annoyed me. You are perfectly entitled to post whether you or I hold the same views and I admire (honestly) the way in which you have come back to defend your posts. Many others would have given up by now.
I am of the (not so) old school and feel that Scotland is best served within the UK, with a bit of devolution to enable us to make some changes that will benefit us. I am suspicious of the SNP though and feel that like the LibDems, they would do anything to get into power.
Nothing would enhance independence to me. Sorry, but that's my opinion which is not based on some historical or romantic notion.

I can understand how Scottish people get annoyed about rule from Westminster. I’m English and don’t agree with Scottish Labour MPs voting on matters that affect England only (e.g. NHS).
Personally I think Scotland has a lot going for it (resources, fishing, agriculture, oil, tourism etc) and will be a very successful independent nation, as will England by itself.

I am sure we with both prospour as independent nations as well.

I would agree with you on the subject of Scottish MP's voting on English only matters.

The SNP MP's do not vote on matters that dont affect Scotland.

What gets me is that its not just Labour that keep it going the Tories/Lib-Dems have not sorted it ither. Independence would sort it once and for all.

What changes are you thinking about? are you a devo-max voter?

I can understand you are suspicious of the SNP, any political party needs to be kept on its toes.

Wherever you stand on the SNP i do genuinley think that they have improved Scotland, labour were in the process of destroying it in 2007 and it does really seem they were caught out when they lost and they did not know what to do as people were no longer voting for them like sheep.

I agree about the lib-dems they have proved that they are as bad as the tories.

I respect your opinion, while a lot of people reading my posts may believe that they are from historical or romantic views that would only make up 1% i can assure you that 99% of my support for independence is the fact that i believe we would be a richer, fairer, happier and more prosperous nation independent.
