Spaghetti and mince gratin... Cook the spaghetti, cook the mince with some finely chopped onion, mix together and put in an oven dish, sprinkle with grated cheddar and add a few small pieces of butter, shove under the grill.

Here is a recipe my friend past onto me - its really adaptable and you can add things as you like, but the basic recipe is:

    500g Mince beef
    Onions
Largest tin of heinz tomato soup (the 800g one)
packet of microwave rice such as uncle bens or tilda's

Brown the mince and onions in a pan, then add to a casserole dish, add the soup and rice, mix together and bake in the oven say gas mark four for 1 and a half to two hours.

Its as simple as that! I add spices and other things sometimes such as garlic, cumin etc - you can add what you like really! There is only two of us and Ihave plenty left over to freeze for another day. I serve it in a bowl with some crusty bread.
