We have placed ours on the market. It is quite large flat with large garden. We chose a reasonable price based on what was sold near. Needs repairs but we leave it in its natural state.... I plan a lick of paint, it works well because helps figure out the space better. When I go to shops I look if there are any pots for sale. There always the odd 1L from a top maker lying around. I found that samples off the shelf have less quantity of paint, but if you ask for sample to be mixed on the spot they give you a 250 ml pot and and you can paint a door 2 coats.

Curtains can become a good investment to enjoy at home, some patterns become clasics and gain value. The example is from V&A collection, there is plenty of beautiful ones to see in their site. You do not have to go there.

The bungalow is very dated and requires complete refurb. In this area (I only live a few miles from this property) people buying bungalows aren't 'old' people most are newly retired and they want something fashionable. As it is it will really hold down the price - do it up and you will get your money back - if you can afford to do it that is. Most people in the 60's age group look for something ready done as they don't want the hassle of builders etc. In my road there are 2 bungalows for sale which both require work and have hardly had any viewings. Another one which a guy is still working on has immediately sold for £80,000 more! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
