Just been given an old DELL desktop by a member to use in our community club.

Been through with MB, CCL and Spybot, found loads of trogens and spyware.

Could someone have a look at the HJT log for me.

Agreed - if it's been badly compromised, it's best just to format the disk and do a clean install to be sure.

I would also tell the memeber what you found & assuming they replaced that computer suggest what software to install so they don't get the same carp on there new machine

Apparently their son mucked about with a partition program and managed to wipe the restoration partition.

Now just got C&E. all the windows stuff running on C and E empty.

As they now can't find the recovery disc i think i will now just put Ubuntu on as the OS as it will only be used for surfing the net and printing posters/letters, i have looked and the old but working printer that came with it is supported.

In your first post, you mentioned CCL found something - what is CCL?

My Google skills don't seem to return any software called CCL, so I suppose you abbreviated the name of a commonly used piece of software, and I'm having a blonde moment.
