We seem to be getting a lot of calls for solar panels at the moment. I ask them what they think solar panels would look like on a thatched roof. That usually stumps them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. what is everyone doing for the jubilee, if anything.
my plan was to sit in the house being miserable. the mrs wants to go to hyde park to watch the jubilee concert on the big screens there.
if i could design a "worst possible day ever" it would definitely include going to hyde park to watch the jubilee concert on a big screen (second worst possible day would be being eaten alive by ants).0 -
Bathrooms need storage. minimilist is fine, but where are you going to store all your toiletries and spare loo roll?
Not actully going for that bathroom, but trying to get a feel for what finish is fair to expect...hence niggling the gappy hatch.:o
In this bathroom i am hopping i might be able to squeeze in a rustic cupboard. If not will have to be a ghastly mirrored affair. Also thinking recessed tiled shelves in the wet room bit.
Edit.. Still thinking of the splut faced tiles. I love them now. But worried about cleaning. Have posed a query on os which is being ignored about keeping these clean0 -

I can offer you a day of ypur second worse....our kitchen is falling off again and red ants found the breach and invaded last night. I went all mass murderer and killed them with apple cider vinigar and a menacing laugh.
We have loads of red ants here:(. They ruddy hurt when they bite.0 -

Unfortunately I didn't know it was a withheld number until I dialled 1471.0 -

our bathroom gets periodically invaded by flying ants. i cannot work out how they get in but there seems to be a crack near the sky light that must be the source, they must be nesting up there. can't get rid of them, any attempt at spraying ant poison into the entry point just results in gravity causing the ant poison to fall back and choke me. when we got back from holiday there were at least 1,000 dead ants on the bathroow floor. ewww.0 -
