I think, generally, I am just very unsettled - I don't do "change" well, leading to all kinds of poor sleeping patterns (worse than normal as I've actually never had a good night's sleep in my life) .... I think once all this constant change is over - and things are dealt with - and I've moved on and have a front door of my own I can shut .... things will settle down all round.
I think so too Pastures. I don't want to make light of Alzheimers, it is a horrible disease, but you have had way too much on your plate for a while now. Those of us who have 'known' you (well in the net sense) for a while will have seen changes in your character. These aren't things to worry about but are symptomatic of the stress you've been under.
Like you I'm not convinced that this stress is going to go imminently. Fwiw I think you need to know that the house is sold and that you can move on, also that you can find the place you want to move to. That could take a while yet.
However you do need to listen to signals your body is sending you. You are stubborn like me. I hate going to the doctor and end up not going for so long that by the time I'm "ill enough" in my thoughts to go I have a shopping list of things that are bugging me, but we are a similar age and do need to look after our health. As I said, I don't think its Alzheimers, my nan and fil both had that and nothing that you've said or done has indicated anything that's made me wonder, but if its worrying you, get it checked out and if you don't want to do that, at least google a reliable source to find out what the symptoms are so that you can exclude it yourself.
Hang in their Pastures, I'm not going to send you "hugz" because that's not me, but you will get through this, we all know that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Brilliant! Thanks Pastures! Now how does current Mark Spitz look younger than me? He was winning medals when I was in junior school!
ETA: have just seen some other pictures of him. Looks like he has found a time machine...
ETA again... Oooh Harlem Globetrotters, also while at same junior school, we were taken to see them at what I think was Wembley. I got to see Curly! They were still the real team! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Loved Marc Bolan ... I remember entering a Jackie contest to win his pink satin stage jacket.... gutted I didn't win it, of course.
And David Cassidy - who hasn't aged - and is on this show as one of the people being asked about their time.0 -

You aren't as carefree as you used to seem. However, I'd say you seem less acutely stressed than you were after the old's death and when there were two of you living at home. It's more of a case now that it's gone on for a long time. Tbh it's a bit like being tired all the time, possibly the wrong analogy, but your spark isn't as "sparky"!
Btw, don't be worried about this. We all have stressful periods, mine was a few years back when my Mum and I both had cancer treatment at the same time (hers was way worse though, I just needed minor surgery, it was more of the headf*ck that followed that I struggled with). You come out the other end and it makes you stronger.
Changing the subject a bit, the house was just hit by the most massive gust of wind. I thought the window at the side was paying us a visit and that's in a relatively new, well built house! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
