Hmm - I think LIR wants something...

I do think I need to let LIR see my parents current house, when they moved in it was a stables with a small stable lads accommodation wing and now it is quite different but I suspect it the closest in scale of project to what the IRs are taking on. I will be there in the summer and perhaps could invite you round for tea, it is Davenave's part of the world (ish) so probably a couple of hours from you.
Haha, the other face was the surprise to me, not what i thought they looked like and so much younger! :D
    I think....

    Rofl.

Michaels, no ...not particularly after anything, but thought someone was going on about grey hair recently though might have got that wrong? Firstly, didn 't notice any, and secondly thought it might have been a bigger issue against dark hair. :D

I'd have just bought one of these and added an OS.

    Too late!

I've paid £51 more (once you've bought the OS) for a slightly better ranked processor but lost 2GB RAM, though I've got a laptop rather than desktop.

    I've not done too badly.

Ha ha! I saw that piece on the news - can't believe I didn't recognise the avatar!

I still don't know who we are talking about. I'd guess michaels, given he introduced the topic and has an avatar that is a real person (related to him) - allegedly.

    PM me pleasy.

You only charge mates 50% of your normal fees then - you have a big heart chewwie :)

Posted link at the other place

standard practice in forensic accountancy is to advertise your hourly rate as double that of others at your firm doing audit/accounts and then offer a 50% discount to make the client think they are getting something very expensive for a huge discount.

when i was in practice, my firm charged me out at a headline of £200/hour, but after discounts and write offs, the client was probably only paying £80-120 depending on the particular job.

    i was paid about £20...

i haven't a clue either, but my guess is that it's a piece on the news whereby viva is lambasting the government for cutting library services whilst LIR chases escaped chickens/peacocks/other assorted animals around in the background.

I should have said that I think that you have done really well. That's a lot of laptop for under £400.

To put this in perspective, your processor is well over twice as fast as the E2200 processor I am using. Hard disk speed will be faster on my desktop, which is also important for day to day use. For me, the killer app is Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition. I am thinking quite hard about upgrading my PC so that the voice recognition will run more smoothly and keep up with me better. I also very highly value Raid 1, which is not generally available on laptops.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
