I don't need portability, but the price difference seems to be small. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and an acer screen that I can plug into the laptop if I want to work in the study.

Challenge, if you have time, this is the favoured laptop at the moment:

What would a similar spec desktop cost?

    New favoured product is this:

ebuyer has it at 369(less 5.50 quidco) and ebuyerexpress on ebay at 349. Is there is a difference in service?
cant find a desktop any cheaper with similar spec.

Paris-Rubaix is going well this year. They're getting into the cobbles.

I have although my favourite race of the year is on today so I've been a bit distracted on the sports front:

That's on at the moment, on the red button of British Eurosport if anyone else is interested. May turn over and watch that, but its also MotoGP from Losail so may watch that too. It's a pants day here so have postponed a trip to the National Gallery that we were planning.

Have just had a look at the Paris-Roubais starting list and noticed that Jack Bauer is competing. It's good to know that there's a life after saving the world.

    They're on the cobbles now.

Do you mean Steve Bauer? He's a former White Jersey winner in the Tour de France.

It says Jack Bauer on the start list here: http://www.letour.fr/2012/PRX/RIDERS/us/partants.html
He's a kiwi apparently and races for GARMIN. Now I can't see a Steve Bauer on the start list. I wonder if the authorities have been watching a bit too much 24:D.

According to Wiki Steve Bauer is a Director Sportif now, kinda like being a football manager only with cycling not a ball.

Big crash out front. The cobbles are looking greasy.

Looks pretty good. I've bought from ebuyer before with no problems, no idea about ebuyerexpress.

My Compaq, which I got around 2 years ago, is starting to look iffy. Think it's the motherboard, so I may be requiring ebuyers services again soon :(
