Dh has told me he thouht you were as cute as a button, and so should be just fine ego wise in a gym. Buy decent, flattering gym clothes that also helps. Well, it always helped me to feel good in my gym clothes. And a really good sports bra.
Bless himand thank you
I'm still thinking what to do but will have to decide something by Tuesday.
I will now as a measure of extravagance buy the purple mangetout. I need different coloured mangetout as otherwise I think they are all peas and forget to pick them until they go over.0 -
We've just sent our George Michael tickets back as we can't make the rescheduled date for our concert. We could have put them on eBay and got more, but as people who are fundamentally opposed to touting chose not to. We've had the tickets for months and they were good ones. We've sold things on scarletmist.com for face value for exactly those reasons.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I used to use scartletmist too, but went to look for the site last year and it had been closed due to dishonest people (think it was people 'selling' tickets that did not materialise). Its a real shame - I thought it was a great site.0 -

PN, taking the train to Europe is the only way to go. Have a friend who's never flown. Says he never got round to it. Goes camping and always took the ferry to the continent and probably takes Eurostar now. If I've got the cash I use planes for long journeys e.g to Scotland and train for short ones to Paris/Brussels.
Getting off a train platform in the Gare du Nord and seeing a British bobby walking up and down the platfrom is a strangely reassuring introduction to Paris, which is a cracking user-friendly city anyway.:D
Gotta go back there. Soon!0 -

If you go by train you can take your car too. Though taking my car to Paris, Barcelona or Rome would fill me with dread. Walk down a street in any of those cities and try and find a car without numerous dings, it's virtually impossible. I'd rather take the wonderful Eurostar.
However if you do want to take your car by train, there's these:

15.6".
The boys both have Dells, the chargers are always failing, the track pad iritates me. Reading around Toshiba seems a good brand.
Chat to you lot, bit of excel, word, facebook. Apart from the fact my current PC is about to fail (capacitors leaking) the frustration is that the facebook games like bejeweled and zuma run so, so slowly.
i've never heard of Medion.
i3 would probably be OK, just need to find a good one at a good price. John Lewis do 2 year warranty as standard, may go there.
If you have a PC, why would you be looking at laptops? PCs are generally more powerful, more comfortable to use, and much easier to fix if something goes wrong as all the components are standard and you just swap out whatever is faulty. Do you need portability?
I don't know about the games, but i3 will be sufficient for the rest of your work.
Medion is a respected make, but that particular model has had some unfavourable comments from users. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
The usual muddled Mail.
Surely the handyman is needed after the Neanderthal has demolished the door?
Didn't wiring a plug end some time ago, when manufacturers began fitting tamper-proof ones, probably to comply with some EU directive?
....And have they ever tried to change a wheel on an Audi? The self tightening nuts they used when I had one meant that was a garage job. At my local tyre depot, the guys would reach for the 'long John' (a 6' pole wrench) as soon as I drew up! :rotfl:
I've never been in an emergency where a door needed breaking down, and I can change a tyre and wire a plug myself, thanks (if, as you say, the wheel nuts aren't impossible to undo). Other criteria are a lot more important.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I had no idea you could take cars!!
But not everybody will be wanting to go to the cities... they'll be wanting the beaches
Seems cheap as chips, costing from £22/car each way (up to 10 passengers) but still, just for me, £22 each way doesn't look too shabby.
For me, the biggest/hardest journey would be getting TO London to start any furren stuff.... I'd be, therefore, mostly looking at a ferry from Dorset/Devon as it'd be closer.0
