I don't know whether it was the snowboard impact, but something made me empty the pockets of my jeans as soon as I got in the house, putting my passport safely away in a cupboard. Maybe I have become some kind of genius as a result.

It wasn't the snowboard impact. It was the nice peoples advice impact. :)

Mirror looks like a black turd. I'd want that gone!
    :)
    Most offputting.

And the vertical ridge on the left makes it look like it's a caravan makeover.

Ok, so we're not liking it then! Thanks for telling me :)

The vertical ridge on the left is a 90 degree angle. It's in the corner of the room, can't do much about that.

Might need a different pic then because the room looks lovely IRL. Try again tomorrow.

You can always rely on an Aspie to say it how it is..... and that's why some people get miffed as they see it as rude. Although I didn't realise it was your actual room before I posted else I'd have !!!!!!..... because it's you.

But that wouldn't be fair would it? Me telling the truth has given you the chance to improve the photo :)

I'm curly! :j ...well when I let it grow long enough.

Just now it's straight as it's a bit too short to be curly but not "convict" short.

Maybe it was you i was thinking of then. :)

Dh is curly, and i love him with hair long enough fo curl, but its too short these days. :(. I keep telling him to enjoy it while he has it, to which he chases me and tickles me. :D

So we were looking at this house, it was on rightmove for about half an hour Thursday morning last week, rang agent to ask if we could view this weekend but they are expecting to have at least 6 offers by the end of today, some substantially over asking price and are then going to ask the vendors what they should do next. What happened to the slow housing market?!

Then again asking price is 525, you could spend 100 extending and it would be worth probably 850 - and there is 27 feet from the side of the existing property to the boundary so if you were allowed to build a new property there you would probably have a 3 bed detached worth 450-500k and a 4 bed semi worth at least 500 same for an outlay of about 200k. It even has a sort of kitchen and bathroom so is probably mortgageable.

You've just answered your own question.

Bargains and good buys will always sell. But I'm sure there is a lot of over priced property's been on the market a while too.

In Scotland they use the offers over system. People often list houses at a lower price to attract interest but each offering party is usually advised what is expected to be the winning offer. Course if you really wanted the place then you'd have to go higher again, just to make sure.

House on at £300k, realistic price 25% more (370k), ends up going for £410k

It can work both ways but that was a typical scenario of a good property in the boom times.

I like it very much, but i would move the hand wash for the next pic. And maybe put the candle sticks so they almost touch.

Personally i would also stick a neklace or tie on the deer...but not for a photo celebrating chic .....just for my own amusement when not snapping.:D. We have an ott and rather ugly gold mirror in our bedroom, but it look much better with a collection of bags and my rosaries hanging from it.
