Lydia you will be pleased to hear that for their first year of solar my parents got a fit payment of about 1700 quid and reckon that usage of their own electricity saved them at least another 300 quid so a 2k return on their 14k investment - beats a savings account!
    I think....

We saw friends last night who told us that the investment return meant we should get solar panels. We apparently need to act quickly so phoned the people they used a few months ago, they haven't phoned back :(

I would be nervous putting wallpaper on the wall of a bathroom. Is it special bathroom paper?

Is that deer head a coat hook?

Lol, good hair day pics then michaels?

At the last house i noted how much my hair disliked the water when the water softener was fitted. It very contrary isn't it:o:D?

I think, in all honesty, its the right combination of stuff...For the hair, the place and the weather, and sometimes the one tried and tested routine has to change a bit. In london my hair is at its best for how i manage it, and thats hard water too.

Sulfates (which are in bubble baths whipch i use sometimes wven when dunking) are i think the source of current disgruntled situation.

My (italian) hair dressers reckons olive oil makes a good conditioner.

Yeah, they love that, and interestingly i found frizz ease (which i took over, they don't sell it there that i could find) was fairly useless there, but Thankfully there are lots of other curly products.

Tonight i might take the plunge and wash my hair with brown sugar  sounds odd, but i'll try it,

Bicarb is alao meant to be good, but used the last of mine cleaning kitchen drain today.

Sounds good. Congratulate them from me. :)

This has been an excellent week for mine. For the 7 days 23-29/3/12 I was averaging nearly £10/day. So far, since they were commissioned on 7th Sept, I've earned just over £700 in 7 months, and naturally the summer months should do a lot better. Of course, the borrowing to pay for them has put an extra £50pm on my mortgage payment, but that's only £600pa, so I'm £100 in profit for the year with 5 of the sunniest months with longest hours of daylight still to come. :D

You may be too late, I'm afraid. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Before they slashed the FiTs it was a no-brainer, but the sums are a lot tighter for people entering the scheme now, and you'd need to do some pretty detailed calculations to work out if it's still worth it. Lots of firms have stopped doing them now that the FiT reduction has all but destroyed demand, so that may be why you've had no reply to your message. :(

My hair is straight and fairly fine. It won't stay where it's put and tends to flop a bit and lose body. It's slightly better if I make the time to mousse it and blow dry it upside-down, but I'm not a morning person and DD isn't either so requires a lot of effort to get out of bed and ready for school in the morning, so moussing & blow-drying my hair often gets missed out. It's fairly short, BTW, and a mousy sort of colour with a few greys but not too many so far.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It's wipe-able wallpaper and I put it up with an antifungicidal paste. The wallpaper isn't actually that close to the sink, or I'd not have put it there. I've put wallpaper in loads of bathrooms with no issue - nowhere near the shower or bath area though. It's a decent space and we've got fancy extractors and a big radiator so it shouldn't be a steamy room, as long as DS doesn't use it for 30 minute showers!

The deer is just a big deer head. It's the reflection and a wide angle lens so it looks tiny, but it's about 50cm tall :)

    Most offputting.

And the vertical ridge on the left makes it look like it's a caravan makeover.

Are there any more curly nice people?

I'm curly! :j ...well when I let it grow long enough.

Just now it's straight as it's a bit too short to be curly but not "convict" short.
