Gotta agree with lir on this one - I object to being told what I am allowed to think or believe.

Mostly it is fine and seems unobjectionable after all why should people hold prejudice against others based on religion, race or sexual preference? But then suppose the govt of the day decide that the also want to stop me from believing in evolution or education for women?

I find it interesting that michaels and i have both thoughtthis yet are both in positions where we could have experienced bigotry .

I hope very much michaels neither you children nor family have encountered any such bigotry.

i have, from more than one cultural group! Dh has, very rarely, but more in uk than anywhere else, except jfk airport  I am a glutton for punishment obviously! I think to be fearful of other is just in some people's make up. Whther its a heinous bigotry that education and familiarity can help, like being homophobic or racist, or whether its a sad lack in understanding of sources of food like mushrooms.:D

Edit..actually another source of idea for a nice person poll, I wonder what the rateof bigoted comments or hate crime are in the np number or whether we over reprisent as was suggestted for jewishness, or under reprisent in other areas? I have never noticed an np reference a same sex partner, but surely we are not all with partners of opposite sex orsingle? I believe one onetime contribute wa bi with an opposite sex partner and....well....i'm getting bored of typing now!

    Mushrooms bad.

I also think brussel sprouts are bad. Where is everyone else on the sproutometer?

Love them. Not the great huge ones which are like the leaves we throw away from the outside of big cabbage, but the little sweet button ones, mmmmmm. Delicious!

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'm a bog standard, white, English, heterosexual female, without religion. So you can put me down for "none" under hate crime.

For the crime of being single..... you couldn't begin to believe what single older spinsters have to put up with. I could do a big list here, but won't.

I love them. I've had some bad/dire ones in my life, in canteens and cheap cafes... but if I cook my own then they're spot on and tasty.

I'd even eat a few cold ... if there were, say, a bowl of leftovers in the fridge and I opened it up to see what I could nibble.

I like brussels alone, or with chestnuts. I'd happily eat them halved and fried, served with an egg would be nice. Or brussels-style bubble & squeak.

Yep. Put me down for lots of brussels.... thank you.
