Why's that? How many feet have you got?
My fave toy when I was a lad was The Johnny Seven One Man Army. Made me look like a warmongering nutjob, but we all had these. Glasgow could be scary!

There's one on ebay right now. Noticed the price was £350 !!!
It's clearly fallen past the minimum price of outdated spacewasting junk to become valued retro item.
Just read this to Mr Spirit who said "still got one in the loft".0 -
I still have my teddy from when I was little. He doesn't come to bed with me very often, but occasionally he has to because DD complains that I am his mummy and ought to love him and take him to bed. Sometimes she wants him to come for a sleepover in her bed with all her animals (of which there are many). I am fine with this, but DS is not. He'd not particularly interested in my teddy himself (he was never as much into soft toys as she is, and at 11 feels too grown-up for them anyway), but he insists vociferously that the teddy is mine and not DD's and should be with me and not in her bed. It's all so clearly a metaphor of how they feel about me loving them, but as far as I can tell they themselves are unaware of that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
When you move, you chuck stuff out ... and I own virrtually nothing these days. I'd have liked to have been settled, in a house, for the past 30 years, but it wasn't possible and I've always owned and lived in tiny spaces, so stuff has to go.0

They also have very reasonably priced Magnolias - £8.99. I paid £30 for mine and it was about the same size. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Do you all keep getting those PPI etc harassment calls?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Maybe I should put a claim in .... who knows.
I'm sure I had some of that, when I took out my mortgage as a contractor in a short-term contract....

What water rates do people pay?
Just got an annual bill for £540. The guidelines say that if you have more bedrooms than people you would be better off with a meter, but the rateable value for this place was made when it only had 3 bedrooms so the water bill is based on that. On average there are 3.5 people living here, some of whom shower for at least 20 minutes twice a day, so I can't see a water meter being worthwhile, on the other hand £540 seems a lot.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
