Cripes we're chatty at the moment. I'm catching up in a car wash but I won't make it to the end of three hours worth of posting by the it ends. I paid for wax and everything. Still smells of wee inside though :o

Oh, the PMs I get are more "friendly" - but I can't tell if they want to be friends or are after a bit of hanky panky.
I can forward you one where somebody might be wanting hanky panky ... if that helps :)

Nobody ever PM's me for hanky panky :(

I switched my cash ISA's to Nationwide recently too. 3.1% for the first year if I remember rightly.

It's annoying how you have to keep changing to get a "good" rate. The banks must make millions out of this scam grrr.
If you keep an eye out on this site there are better deals than that around.

Last week I did a switch to National Counties BS ISA @3.7% for 3 year fix. The good thing is, it has a 99 day get out free clause. :)

It was pulled in days, though. :(

I set out this afternoon to do something I needed a clear run at ..... and failed.
I want to install some software on one of my domains, and it's the latest version - so first need to find out what I should be doing (it involves creating a new database on the server) and so I need to get the destructions together for the install. So, first off I thought I'd have a quick peek at an existing installation's database, especially as I seem to have problems with it as I can't create any more records than 155 (probably need to update to the latest version, but I thought I'd put that off until I install/see the latest version).

Anyway, two hours later, having spent 1.5 hours online to "Live Chat", I still can't log into the relevant domain, can't reset the password, can't force a reset and it ended with Live Chat telling me to log a ticket.... so, I expect that to be sorted in 2-3 days' time.

I hate it when I spend hours stumbling around with the pre-work that I needed to do in order to start the actual job.

As the other domain in on an entirely different host anyway, with a different control panel front end, I might just leap in and see what happens anyway. Keen to get that database populated.

I've never been able to fix, as I've never known when I'd need the money out to get a house. My money is really just in "short term savings" because when I want to buy a house I'll need to access it quickly .... only I've no idea if that's this year, next year, or in 5 years, but I can't tie one penny up as I don't really have a lot saved, so there won't be a penny left over. I expect to be unmortgageable when I do buy.

I used to get a lot of abusive PM's back in the Gold/Silver discussion (argument) days.......I never bothered answering them. (however it is a good way of finding out who is who in the sockpuppet world)

Have had quite a few asking interesting questions, usually about markets and other boring stuff, which I try to answer in my usual pithy/concise style

if you will go around deliberately supressing the price of silver, what on earth do you expect?
