A house to sub let when he is there?
The first question rules out the second. Until he has his A level results we don't know which uni, if any. He has offers from Bristol + 3 northern towns. He has to choose which 2 offers to keep within the next few weeks.
When eldest went to uni, youngest declared he was going to apply to the same uni to be near the "great" football team. We did toy with the idea of buying a student house then, but ruled it out on the grounds that students don't make good landlords. Financially it would have made sense in itself, but then it wouldn't have left us with enough to buy the holiday home.
Talking of which you would have thought I would have been along here long enough to know that new builds always get delayed. 15 months late already.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If you don't mind me asking, where's the holiday home silvercar? It's something we've toyed with doing for a while. Money isn't right at the moment and probably won't be for a good few years yet, but its something we can research in the background. Gok has a new range out in Sainsburys tomorrow. I might go to the big supermarket which is down the motorway as one of the dresses looked rather pretty. It's not very expensive even without being reduced but I haven't seen any of it IRL as Sainsburys isn't very local. We are getting our very own Sainsburys in town next year and M&S at the back end of this year.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My PJs are for my eyes only.....
Pjs are what i wear off public duty. That or old evening dresses. If people want to turn up univited they find me in pjs, traksuit or fancy dress. Or nighties. I wear them much like you wear leggings.

Sainsbury's jogging bottoms & stuff like that do fine for working outdoors, they're so cheap. I don't really think of Sainsbury's as any kind of fashion place though.
As for Gok, well he'll never be the same since our Panto, when his lookalike joined us Merry Men, just so he could give fashion tips about the best way to wear green hose, "with a tuck here, and a pinch there!" :rotfl:0 -

Why do they put the interesting stuff so late at night?
Also, wondering if all nice parents watch the royal Institution christmas lectures with the nice children? You rarely hear them mentioned these days, thoguh that might be cos i don't mix in the right circles any more!

Utterly excellent. Saw one years ago by Eric Laithwaite the “Father of Maglev”. Here’s a link.

My 'chicken house' is a bit mucky, but some one asked for a pic of the salveggtionists a while ago! This is a couple of them tonight. Sadly, they look better than they did.0 -
