We have a lot of duvets here. They are all synthetic due to allergies, which I only found out after investing several hundred ££s in a posh quilt of Hungarian goose down. My mother still has this so thankfully not wasted.
I have three main ones, a 1 tog duvet for very hot summer days when you want something a bit more substantial than a sheet over you but not much more. A 3.5 tog which is on my bed most of the year and a 7 tog for when it is really cold out. I don't like the 13.5 tog duvets as they are too warm. Thankfully DH and I have bodies that (when sleeping) do so in the same climatic zone. The great thing with thin duvets is they can be stuck in a conventional washing machine and then slung over my upstairs landing bannister to dry. Job done! Though like silvercar, we also still have one of those laundrettes nearby that you can use the dry cleaning machines as well as the washers/driers.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Spent yesterday at A&E; DD in severe pain related to an operation years ago. Result; nothing we can do, so sent home with muscle relaxants and codeine.
Not serious enough to require surgery, and nobody's sure if surgery actually improves the condition. Very frustrating! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

That's horrid zag. I hope she gets some relief and feels better. That's what they think. Know anything about them?
Sadly yes.
In non medical terms, when you have an op and they cut bits your left with a raw edge that can stick to anything nearby. Either these raw edges can stick and unstick to things causing pain or they can remain stuck to something and that can cause pain. Or just having a raw edge can cause pain.
They generally don't like operating because that is another cut, creating another raw edge, so it can compound the problem.
Gentle exercise, warmth and pain killers are about all you can do. Mine don't bother me for years and then they can flair up suddenly and stop for no reason. Often worse after a cold spell, so I wonder if they are linked to the cold or not walking so much.
Psychologically once I knew that is all the problem was, it is easier to manage.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Unfortunately I don't know much but it seems to come and go and although it's not always noticeable you never get rid of it. Sometimes flares up and requires urgent surgical treatment.
Mine went quiet about 2 years after the original surgery, I think it's flared up again in the last few months. So it would have been quiet for 12 years. It least that is what I'm hoping, rather than anything else going on.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Eldest son is happy, he got a call from his boss this morning and offered some work for today....obviously, the season is starting up (the job is a seasonal one although he did work over Christmas as the boss decided to open up because the prom was busy)
Think James may well be quite tired by tonight, he only got in at 3.15 this morning and got the call around 8.30 this morning but money is money and James doesn't mind, he knows to turn down the offer of hours would be silly and could be detrimental to the offer of future work....I have told him enough times for him to know this to be true!
He did apologise for the lunch I had planned for today, we had planned to have chicken because he was meant to be here (he doesn't like other meats so I buy it specially for when he is here) but I didn't mind, work is more important.
The cat will be chuffed though, he gets the left overs!
Edit - This is not his only job, he also has a term time only one where he picks up from school and babysits a friend's brother until the mum/his friend comes home.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

She's been doing lots of exercise lately and don't know if that's a bad thing
You mentioned walking - do you know if more strenuous exercise has a role in triggering problems?
I'm not much help; I found out that appendicitis often skips generations. I found out after DD's problems that my dad had his removed at 17.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
