As mine only cost 280 quid then Id say mines probably a little more 'bang for your buck' than whats being posted right now
Clearly Gunjacks a tad behind, but then if the 'average' people posted im sure things would look a lot better for us

Thanks for rubbing it in mate :D

Must admit I'd like to be able to afford a more powerful desktop, but all things considered this old girl's still doing a pretty good job, and in day-to-day use she certainly don't feel slow.

Will try my two lappys when I get chance, but don't expect major improvements - with CPU benchmark scores of around 600 and 700 respectively they may be better, but not a lot - in fact, the "in theory" fastest processor is running vista so not expecting it to be much faster than this one

I may boot up my old computer later to see how that does (I might get the slowest so far :p)

the more of these I read, the worse I feel :)
Still, I suppose mine still runs all games that I've tried at a decent resolution/framerate, so it's not all bad :)

I think the interesting point about tests/threads like this is, what do you do with a machine that's so quick/is your pc more powerful than you'll ever need it to be ?? (IYSWIM).

I know a lot of the calls I go out to, people have pretty powerful pc's (especially compared to mine ;) ) who've been almost conned into buying something way more powerful than they'll ever need (and therefore had to pay more than they really should have done) only to replace it in 2-3 years "coz we've had it for 2-3 years and it's now so slow".......... or so they thought until I've worked a bit of 'Jack magic on it for them ;):D

Not tonight, going to dig out the AMD K-6(?) or try an HP5520 thin client, if WinCE 5.0 will run WPrime. :D
