Not been online much this weekend so have just been catching up with the thread, hope it has been a good weekend for one and all. Just had a lovely roast chicken dinner with plenty of veggies etc left to freeze for another day. Cleaning and washing up to date so can sit back and watch Dancing on Ice later. Might declutter some left over from christmas Baileys into a hot chocolate whilst I am watching it lol Then an early night for me I think!

Evening all
I am in my new houseand almost all unpacked! Movers did their stuff within 3 hours yday, they were lovely guys who didn't grumble at all about lugging it all down the 6 flights of stairs :rotfl:. My parents, nan, cousin and a friend all helped me unpack yesterday so it's pretyy much all done, just needs putting in right place. I need to re-organise the kitchen though as it's not to my liking as my mum put stuff in cupboards! It's toasty warm with the heating on which is good.
Today I went to old flat and cleaned the upstairs floor (laminate), the kitchen, my bathroom and got rid of all the recycling/rubbish. Need to go back once more to finish off.
Need to do a bit of uni work tonight as I'm being observed for my teaching tomorrow
OS wise - unpacking stuff, cleaning old flat, WM went on in old flat and have brought it here to dry, been to tip.
I have bought a PAYG dongle cos I couldn't be without internet for 3 weeks til I'm set up with new package. So will be able to post almost daily now :j
Have a good evening all

Hi there all. thank-you so much for all your good wishes yesterday for my dear Mum. we had a super visit with her. She was awake and lucid , we made her laugh remembering all the good times we'd had.She looked better than she has done for ages, they have stopped all medication and drips and she seems to be calm and accepting of the situation. She told us that the doctors had said they couldn't do any more for her and that she was happy for them not to treat her anymore so I think she understands. I think they have her on something to make her more relaxed, she kept saying she wanted to get up and get out of there but she does not have the strength. We were glad we had gone and if we don't get to see her again we have good memories of our visit. My eldest brother was there so we went back with him and my sister- in law gave us tea and sandwiches.
It is just a question of time now.
JG Your daughter is gorgeous, hope things are going well.
Alison best wishes to you and yours.
Catmom hope you feel better soon.
Uolypool glad your DS is on the mend
FB Glad the move went well and good luck with that teaching observation tomorrow.
Hugs to all those who need them and welcome to Newbies you will love it on her it's like getting a big hug everyday.:j£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Have just come in from the drop-in. Those people amaze me. They have absolutely nothing, but when you offer them stuff they worry that they might be taking it from someone who needs it more! One chap took 2 tins of tuna last week, not for him but for his friend. During the week his friend was sent to prison so today he brought the tins of tuna back to us. I could weep for them. I'd really like to take them all home and look after them. They could give bankers, politicians, shallow celebrities and millionaires lessons in morality and social justice.
Lou: Sorry love, I'm a technophobe and useless with computers so I can't help with the blog. I sense by your rare posts that you are in a dark place just now. I wish I could help but all I can do is to hold out my hand and hope that in some way you can reach out and grasp it. Hold on if you can Lou.I believe that friends are quiet angels
