Hi Chums bright and sunny in north Kent but very cold and looking out across the back of the garden there is still a thick frost where the sun hasn't settled, although looking across at the River Medway from my study window it does look very beautiful in the sunshine

Had a nice relaxing lie-in with a read this morning and no intentions of doing very much apart from maybe a little light ironing this afternoon.
NSD at all as I am feeding from my stores (sound like a squirrel :))but after my stocktake I was suprised at how much food I actually had in the cupboards and freezer so I am staying away from the shops.Where has this month gone we are almost half way through it already.another month and hopefully the worst of the winter will be over fingers crossed.I can't wait for the crocus and daffodills to come up as I think its a beautiful time of the year and everything looks so fresh and new.
Right enough of the blethering I'm off for some coffee,<<hugs>> to those who are feeling down or poorly
Cheers chums have a great day if you can

    ¡Hola!

Congrats JG lovely name Eliza, hope she is good for you.

The wall at the side of the patio is taking shape (piccies on FB), there is a road behind us and the wind tunnels down and then hits next doors house wall and hits the side of the patio, the wall will take it over our heads :D:D

Went with a neighbour today to sort out her Bband and phone. She has got faster broadband, with wi-fi, and free calls 600 mins a minute for less than she was paying now. She lost her husband in the summer, and her only son is on a touring holiday of America long planned, so keeping in touch via Skype, I found her a laptop last time she was out, from the UK, and then set it up while I was at home, so she just needed wi-fi to complete the set up.

Did a little shopping at Lidl, some more fresh veg and some meat. Another freebie some Lemon flavoured Almond biscuits, very sweet but mmmmmmmmoreish.

Have some chicken left from the one I cooked, so going to make a chicken and ham (which I found in the freezer) pasta bake for tea.

    (((hugs))) to all the poorlies.

Good Luck to those moving house.

    to all those MIA.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Afternoon all

We have been busy today, first thing this morning we were out tidying the garden and I needed to put some fresh water, fat balls, mealworms and seed out for the birds.

2 loads of washing done and it spent some time on the line, but was still damp when I brought it in an hour ago, so it is now on the airers.

After brunch we took DD over to Toys R us and picked her friend up on the way, we then went to the Luton B&M because her friend had never been - she loved it.
I don't really like the Luton branch, but i did manage to get a few bits to put away for birthday /Christmas pressies, but it was freezing in there, the heating wasn't working , the air conditioning was on instead :eek:. I felt sorry for the poor staff who had to wear their coats on the tills :(

JulieG I hope that you and Eliza are home safe and warm x x x

    Miffy (((hugs))) for today

JackieG It is nice to see you posting, I hope that the party goes well and that your DN has a good time ((((((Hugs)))))) for all X X X

Evening everybody:wave:-hope all is well with the OStylers,

Nice to see you JG-hope your niece enjoys her party.
The other JG-I hope you are all enjoying getting to know Eliza and getting some sleep too.
Donny-thats a nice thing to do to help your neighbour :A
Its been a gorgeous day here, but cold.
Our viewing seemed to go well, they were a lovely couple. We had a lot in common - our buyer pulled out &their vendor pulled out  so they need to find somewhere sharpish if they arent to lose their sale.Reading between the lines tho it is at the top end of their budget so not holding my breath really.

The house is lovely and tidy,so after they went we went to the library to change books, and get a bit of shopping, then came back and listened to our footie on local radio with a glass of gluhwein(Xmas stock :))Tea was chicken in Mexican sauce, followed by apple & blackberry crumble-only I forgot the sugar so it didnt go crispy on top.Tasted ok with ice cream on tho.

I also mended DS2s 'leather' jacket. Its fairly new and has a hood, which had started coming away from the body,so I unpicked the lining and re-sewed the seam before top stitching it so the lining was redone.Quite chuffed cos it wasnt cheap, should have taken it back really but he didnt have the receipt anymore.

Off to watch some telly now, though it sounds like DH has some car prog on :p,oh well I'll look at my library books instead.Hope everyone has a nice evening.xxx

    Hello all

Popped into town today, there are still lots of sales on, I managed to find a couple of bras in M & S sale, which was good as I don't usually find my size on offer.
I forgot to get some meat out for dinner again...so had fish fingers yum yum.
I've ironing to do and it's a rule in my house that once the ironing has been done and sorted into piles, it then has to stay on the table for at least one day. It feels wrong somehow to put it straight away.
    take care all
