    Morning all,
Thick frost here, bbbrrrrrr. Wish I didn't have to go out but forgot to pick our meds up y/day during our visit to Mr. Morry. First shop since Dec 23rd. Managed to spend £80, thanks to DH fancying this that and the other. My car was running on fumes so I filled up using the 6p off a Ltre, still came to £50+
Today I'm going to try and finish painting DD2's sitting room, just 3 walls to do and all glossing, well ,satinwooding. Must measure her huge window as she desperately needs new curtains.
Still haven't made a start on our Tax Returns. Arrrggghhh.

JG hope you had a peaceful night with Eliza.
    ((((LAMEWOLF)))))
MIFFY, I'll be thinking of you, please drive safely it's quite icy out there.
Hope all have a good weekend
  • Morning All,

    Its cold here this morning.

Hugs to Miffy, I hope seeing your mum brings you both some comfort. xxx

Busy day here today, the boys are going for a haircut, I need to take something back to TK Maxx, and OH needs some new jeans and trainers. DS2 needs new school shoes, and I want to get the ceiling in the upstairs hall painted. Then I am off to my sister's tonight for a wee party. It is DNiece's 18th birthday, she is the last of her group to turn 18 and it has been a long time coming for her. Originally DH and I were going to throw her a party in thr rugby club, but when it looked as if BIL wasn't going to be well enough to make it she asked to cancel it. So now it is a pj party at theirs with just her girlfriends and aunties :) cake is done, OH gave me money for champers for them as his contribution and I just need to make sausage rolls. It will be nice to hear some laughter in their house. I adore my niece, she was my first niece, and I am also her Godmother, so we have an extra special bond.

Hope NPM and Flutterby are coping ok with their housemoves, and hugs to LW mrs mix and Molly, who has been a bit quiet recently. Also to tired mum's poor doggy.

    Morning all,

Thick frost here too, almost looks like snow, but its beautiful and sunny, so the washing will go on the line once its finished, I have 2 loads to do today.

WM and dw are on, and I have some handwashing in the sink, just enjoying a peaceful cuppa before dd gets up and OH comes home from the bootie.

Had a really good night on E*bay last night, made enough to pay for the first month towards dd's trip :T so need to pack that up and get it posted today, have one person coming to collect tomorrow.

DD's friend managed to spill a hot drink all over dd's phone yesterday, dd really looks after her things and there is not a mark on it, and although its 2 years old now they are still really expensive, we have it in rice atm, hoping it will dry out, but I would have expected the parents to phone to appologise, (I would if dd had done it) but nothing, fingers crossed the rice works. (I saved 6 months to buy the phone)

Anyhoo need to hoover through and give everything a good clean / tidy, will try and see my dad later too.

Miffy hope you get some comfort from seeing your dear mum xx

    Have good days all xx

Im back from Retreat. It was lovely to get away as we have been having a very difficult time at home. Back to reality though, so it is a big gulp, head down and batter on for me today :eek::eek:

Hope Julie G had a good night with baby Eliza xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

DD dropped hers in the bath. I took it apart - battery and sim, put it all in an air-tight container, with rice or those silicon bags and then left it without opening for two days in the airing cupboard or on top of the boiler etc. My DD periodically opened the door and stared in at it.....what she was expecting to happen? Anyway it did repair itself x

cold here and all frosty so definately staying in today. that wont please my 7 year old who likes to go out and about on a saturday - mainly so he can spend money:mad:. well spent the morning sorting out my money. i have more debts than i have had for ages. so moved my big credit card to 0% so i dont have to worry about that. im hoping to pay the other two off this month. if i can. i feel much more sorted i know exactly what i owe and when im going to pay it off.
on the o s front i have sorted out my pantry and done a two week menu plan and shopping list so i know what i need to do those meals. i dont need much but bet i spend a lot more than i need to.i really need to try hard this month. pay days are so far apart and with christmas as well i really dont have much at all. ive also tried to buy things in the sales for next christmas and i didnt have the money to do that. am i mad??

    Morning all.

Chilly here today but bright and sunny so it feels more cheerful. We're off later to a birthday lunch for one of our friends, that's 2 days running I've not had to cook. As it's the last official day of holiday for us I intend to make the most of it.:)

Last night I started making a scarf for next year's Christmas Fair. Sometimes I just can't believe myself. Still, I want to try to sort out some of my knitting stuff and it seems to make sense to use it rather than keep storing it. I do like something to keep my fingers busy when I am staring at the box. The Rev says she has never met anyone before who watches TV, knits and does a crossword all at the same time. It takes practise.;)

As the food is taken care of today I have thought about tomorrow, something I seldom do, and have taken a large pork joint out of the freezer. Tomorrow it will sit in a low oven for ages and will be eaten with roasties etc for lunch. On Monday, when it is completely cold, I will slice it and pack it into meal-sized foil parcels and freeze. That will be roast lunches for the two of us for 7 or 8 weeks.:T

Fingers crossed for my DS2 who has 3 viewings on my house on the mainland, one is a second viewing, that will be 6 viewings in 3 days. Here's hoping!

Hope Eliza, (and her Mum) had a peaceful night.

Miffy: all the best for today love. This is such an emotional time for you and your family.

Healing prayers for all of you who are in pain.
