Payments to Halifax CC accounts now go by faster payment, although they will normally show on your statement the next working day from when the payment is made. Your available balance should update instantly though, well mine does anyway.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

The payment has to update your available balance immediately to comply with Regulation 73(2) of the Payment Services Regulations 2009. I have personally noticed some of the more "established" members have been posting increasing sarcastic/moody responses to people as well - I think the "prestige" is going to their heads! Saw exactly the same thing with the old "never-in-doubt" member on here, very helpful and rose to a level where people recognise their name and seek their advice etc. - then eventually they just became so aggressive and hostile because they seemed to feel they ran the place and left.

just to follow up on this thread, I took just under £500 out last month on the 13th with the halifax cc in nl and transferred £500 straight back in a few hours later. no problem there and the CC account was credit immediately. on the 17th, statement was generated and there was an interest of around 35p there. so thought, oh not too bad. however, got my statement this month and been charged more than £4 in interest. called Halifax and cs said that the £500 that I paid last month would not have paid for the cash withdrawal as the withdrawal apparently needed to be statemented first before I could pay it off? so apparently the £500 was used to pay off the unstatment purchases that I made before the cash withdrawal. anyway just want to share this experience and think will stick with foreign exchange at a shop in the future

ok, as the more i thought about it, the more i thought it wasn't right. so i called halifax again just now and this time the nice lady said she didn't see the reason why i would have been charged interest as i paid it off on the same day. so she is going to refund me! yay! she also said that there may be some tailing interest in the next statement and if there will be, she will refund those as well
i like my halifax cc again now haha
