    Hi there

I have taken a shop to the small claims court, as per my previous thread (can't post a link due to being new).

Well, after weeks of waiting, the seller did not respond to the claim (surprise surprise), and this morning we have obtained judgement by default in our favour.

I am now wondering what we need to do next. Presumably the seller will receive a letter ordering him to pay, but how long does he have to pay this before we can request they send bailiffs in? We requested immediate payment in the judgement request (they are a shop and the claim is for a total of £300).

Just curious as to what happens next and what we need to do?

Thanks in advance for any guidance :)

In theory you can now enforce by bailiff action.

In practice, you may wish to give them a call and ask whether they will be paying up as you are about to ask the bailiffs to go in. May save a lot of time and hassle.

    Oops!

Yep, forgot to post in and say so. Sorry.
