I recieved this email from ebay this morning:-

"
Unfortunately, because your seller performance is below standard under the eBay.co.uk seller performance standards programme, your selling account has been restricted. If you had any active listings before your restriction, they have been removed and your selling fees will be credited. If you recently sold an item, you'll find it in the Sold section of My eBay.

You can still get your messages in My eBay, and of course, complete any outstanding transactions with your buyers, but you won't be able to list any more items. This action doesn't affect your buying account.

Please complete any outstanding transactions with this account."

I am confused!

My feed back is as follows:-

1 month 6 months 12 months
s.gificonPos_16x16.gifPositive 12 39 45
iconNeu_16x16.gifNeutral 0 2 3
iconNeg_16x16.gifNegative 0 1 1

The negative is from where a conplaint was made where he item was damaged in transit and she refused to return it. Ebay refunded her after she conplained!

Not sure what to do, i have emailed ebay but they have not replied

Its you stars that matter. What are they like and if you view seller dashboard how many stars of 1/2 have you had.

Edit, just looked and all your dsr are down.

You need to check your dashboard:

    http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SellerDashboard

What info do you have here regarding lows and cases?

Edit: Having had a look at your profile, the P&P star being below 4.6 is certainly an issue. eBay should have warned you previously regarding your performance but I think your account can not be used again for selling and it isn't permitted to sell under another ID if one another has a restriction.

I agree with the above, assuming your id is the same as on here then your stars are pretty appalling. 4.3 in particular for p and p.

Your expanded dashboard (links as per other posts) will have been warning about this for a while and you will have received other emails giving you a slim chance to rectify the situation before you got suspended.

I'm sorry not to have better news but I've seen people with much better stars than that be suspended for good. On th every slim chance that ebay do allow an appeal you need to seriously look at your p and p- you can't go on charging such high postage, you need to go down to actual stamp cost, although free p and p for a while would help.

All those 1 and 2 * mean, I suspect, that you don't stand a chance at all of getting reinstated. It is harsh and I;m sorry but I see a lot of dashboards where people ask me what I think of their stats, and yours is among the worst based on your low sales number.

You have 45 feedback from the last year and 4 low stars in P and P , which means 1 in 10 buyers thought your costs were awful.

  • If you had posted on the eBay boards you would most likely be told that your buyers are telling you two things, they don't like your P&P charges and some are not confident that your descriptions were accurate and that as your stars started to fall you should have addressed these issues.

It's not my place to judge you so this is only to explain but you had a pair of trousers at £0.99 and £4 postage, whilst the buyer agrees to this by bidding, eBay have given them the option to express their opinion regarding the charge and I don't think buyers will accept £4 for a pair of trouser these days. If you was using the free listings and used the P&P to bump the total a little this would be the problem. If you wasn't sure and it come to less then you might get marked down. Some buyers will accept an extra £1, some will not be happy paying stamp cost!

Regarding the lows above, the 4th low for P&P pushes you over the edge of eBay's acceptance levels but being below 4.6 for IAD and P&P is, I think, the main reason for the restriction.

As above unfortunately you can't recover from this unless you appeal to eBay but I don't think you'd be successful.

It's your stars that are killing you, your
P&P is too high and the rest aren't brilliant:

I noticed you have a lot of buyers who have won 3 or 4 auctions from you at the same time. Perhaps you did not give them a fair combined postage price, so they have marked your stars down?
  • Jeez, now I know why some sellers go on and on in their blurb about not giving less than 5 stars. how can 4.3 /5 be bad enough to be banned?!? When it comes to films 4 star means really good!!!

I regularly give 4 stars when buying (for instance, if there has been no reason for any communication so I can't truly say if it's good or not I would give 4 stars, not 5). So basically, the system should really be 2 star - ie. 1 star for bad 2 stars for good as Ebay seem to think that anything below perfect is bad? I'll have to rethink my feedback and only give less than 5 if there is an actual issue...

    Weird!!!!

Does seem a bit drastic, 4.6 = your out..

maybe at 4 your sent a notice, Please try harder or have a chat and see why your getting low stars, Stupid buyers
or could you be doing better?

I bought some multiple items recently and thought the seller could have done better, I was going to put that and mark them
down on the stars until i read what impact that has. It was a fairly new seller so even a 4 instead of a 5 would have been a fairly
    big hit.
I think a negative would have done them less harm.

I didnt leave feedback or stars in the end.
