The only jobs I've ever done for RA have been ones where they've phoned me and increased the fee. Have to admit that the increases have been quite generous, even for visits that have only been 5 minutes walk away. I'm happy to leave them until the fee gets more reasonable.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen RA offering a decent fee for anything. I have never accepted a job for them.
Occasionally I've seen a fee that looks OK until reading the long winded and contrived scenario in the brief and thinking better of it.

I am determined this year to concentrate my efforts on the premium fee jobs and so far it's working out.
I'm finding I can earn as much for doing 10 decent jobs in a week as for 30 or 40 cr*p ones.
That's not to say that I won't take a small fee job if it's 50 yards up the road from a job I'm doing anyway and isn't going to take up much time.

Tomorrow I have 2 jobs only but they are worth 30 times the fee for one of those RA jobs. It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.

That said, the good work will likeky dry up now and I'll spend February eating fast food and trawling around pound shops for a pittance :(
I dont mind some of RAs jobs, the chemist for one I find worth doing, provided I can get 20 of them and do them all the same day.

I've never done a job for RA, I'm signed with them but with payments like that they can whistle.

I've done 3 for them, picked up 2 lawyer jobs when I was passing them and a moneyshop. Not bad reports either. But I rarely work with them.

Nah, the works starting to get quite regular, for me anyway.

When will clients (and MS companies) realise that quality is not that cheap?;)

This is a problem througout market research at the moment. Every client under the sun wants to pay nothing and get the world. Most of the online stuff is of dubious quality because the panels don't have the demographic they claim they have so they don't filter and let people through. Clients are happy with topline, then look at the detail, find the flaws then go to agencies who'll sample properly, hire once to fix the last survey but won't continue to pay the fees so they go to dubious sellers again...and the cycle continues.

Never done these as I'm working during the day :(

IF, you're caught….and it’s a big IF as I have never been yet, then obviously you don’t need to stay in for an hour and it will be a valid visit. I keep wishing I would be caught, and make it very obvious what I am doing, so that it’s over quickly! The toilet break is not unusual as you will find a lot of people actually do the same…it’s a nerve thing I guess. It’s just to test if the correct procedure is followed. All records are wiped regardless of the outcome.
Not sure where you heard that.. but I failed an exam for cheating and went back for personal marker was there!

same place does drivers test etc

Just saw the RA clothes job - the fee is obviously silly and does make RE look like a big payer. WHat is also silly is the questions they suggest you ask which would make you sound like a MS or someone who has never bought any clothes before...

Think I need to live in another car park as well for GR - am not seeing some shops that get alerts for (and they aren't in the ones I missed either). Will do a little work on that later I think

Cheesy peeps! I see what you are all about the RA clothes. That works out way below min wage, even before you take into account travel time and expenses.

You see this is why this forum is as important and useful as it is. Not everyone on here has years of MS experience, and I think IMO one of the more difficult things to judge when first starting out is 'what am I worth'? I think I know by now, but sometimes you see jobs that make you think, 'am I worth less than what I think?' the RA job is one of them. Also to expand on what Ziggy stardust said, you pay peanuts you act like a monkey. Its those poor jobs that you dont put the required effort to write adequate reports or be as concise as you know you normally are.

On seperate news.. those of you who saw my rant about ESA not letting me take any jobs last week, will Im sure be able to sleep easy as I have now got to the bottom of it. They had a complaint from client that I had let someone else go and complete the job... This 'apparently' happened last year august and was left on my file! Apparently I have turned into a White female with a baby in a buggy. It's been removed now. as it should have been months ago!
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk
