  • Looks like the new name hasn't changed much for RE/MF - question from my inbox tonight:

"Please can you also explain how they could have made your visit excellent"

This *would* be a reasonable question had I actually been asked to state this in the questionnaire - of course, I had not, I even double-checked the paper copy of the questionnaire I printed out for the job in question. I've told them no, for this very reason, and pointed out that the other assignment I did with the identical brief and questionnaire was passed without query (I had provided the same answer to that question too). I really hope there's no point deductions, I'm fed up with having to make complaints at the moments!

I'm not sure I really understand that question they r asking coz how would you know what they deem as excellent? I mean I did a job a month or so ago and I was given something for free at the end of the transaction that I could keep so I would have said that was excellent service or am I wrong? The whole visit was very good and that just added to the visit for me x

They want to know what you deem as excellent and how they get there if they aren't already, and you're right, free stuff does it for me :-)

Hard one to define, although free stuff is always a winner with the customer its probably not what they want to hear as being excellent. In a restaurant scenario I'd consider that rescueing puppies from playing in a pizza oven or catching the entire contents of a table when the table cloth has been removed hastily would be excellent. A timely Hiemlich manouvere should also get five gold stars.

Please stop guys, it's a mystery shopping forum lets get back to the nitty gritty of it :-D

so whose taking the Irish jobs? I haven't tried but I've noticed you can only take 2 someone said? Is it worth it then?

As I'm in central London and there was a run of 5 in a straight line within 10 minutes of my front door I've offered to do them. They've let me have 4. I suspect I could easily do those and a couple more within the time frame. And probably have a pint in each... Not that I would. :)

Yep, that's exactly what it meant. And I would've been happy enough to answer it if it had actually been in the questionnaire that I agreed to complete upon accepting the job and complete online. But it wasn't, and that's why I'm annoyed. Oh well, takes my mind off other things that are getting to me at the moment I suppose :D

That would be amazing! Though I'd have to mark the restaurant down for allowing animals in a food preparation area :p For me, I try to emphasise on how the staff and their service made me feel - basically, if they make me feel valued and that they're happy to have me there, by treating me as an individual in some way/s, rather than having the 'just another customer' attitude that is unfortunately commonplace nowadays, they're going to get an 'excellent'.

Not me - I can think of better things to do on a Saturday night.
