Ahh... One of the other forums I am on, one of the regulars on there works for the Job Centre and apparently an internal memo went round about it :)

It's to do with the SBWA (Sector Based Work Academies) from what it's been explained to me it's Jsa + Expenses during the training leading to a guaranteed interview. That isn't the wage that Tesco would pay to the successful applicant.

so much training needed and transferable new skills learnt in stock replenishment...
all for the placement, tesco should pay the top up over JSA to normal wages though
people would see benefit of working if they dont already
as for those who have higher skills, its slavery and a waste of time to me, i believe there is a girl suing over being forced to do a similar one at poundland

It may be a guaranteed interview, doesnt mean there is a job at the end of that interview
Poundland, and no doubt tesco just turn around the staff and get a new batch in at the end of the training, very few if any are offered jobs, and the companies get free labour helping to undercut local businesses...

glad to see even martin agrees to an extent and tweeted about it

    Thanks for that Dazza.

General question to anyone doing TNS phones. If anyone has been on the briefing they might be able to help maybe? Are we expected to do the Word document questionnaire AS WELL as doing the SASSIE report? It says we need to upload a document too? If so, I might end up dropping mine. Far too much kerfuffle for the fee!

im feeling glad they dropped my calls after all this hastle

Hace to admit I haven't looked at it properly as I did it last time and it was just the Word document. Would be happy if it were just a proper sassie questionnaire but not both of them. Am looking at the sassie website now and see there is a proper questionnaire which would make it much simpler. Will email them and see if you still have to do word questionnaire too.

Have now emailed them to clarify - was bad enough doing Word Questionnaire but not doing that and the sassie one tbh. Although the question about uploading a document sounds a bit ominous.

Was called and asked if I would do an accompanied visit - I politely declined :rotfl:
  • Can you let me know what they say please?

I'm in work and can't use my mobile to call them :)

You should have had an email with rhe questionnaire - it's a word document that you have to annotate and email back. When I did ones in November I was told to attach anythung into the sassie one - ue picture of phone etc. Doing the questionnaires is a bit of a pain but the pay is OK.

Anyone going to sign up for an accompanied visit? I am not lol - I can't imagine that would get organised smoothly by TNS tbh!

I'll have to check my emails again as I don't recall getting any attachments.
    Thanks.

I had an attachment with an email sent yesterday afternoon at about 3:30 - they sent one and recalled it and then sent another one. But now having looked at the sassie questionnaire am hoping the word one is just there for guidance rather than having to be sent back.
