Ooh - I'm jealous...Kent's a bit far away from Scotland! Can you lucky people report back on bokashi for us later? It all looks good but it *is* very expensive (down here, that is!)

    Hi Claire.

I live in Greater Manchester and these offers seems to be open to English and Welsh council areas as well as Scottish. I also noticed that Doncaster Council is giving bokashis out free, but there is limited stock. Get ordering, Doncaster residents!

WOW thats a good one! My council was giving away 200 greencones from the library as a trial and you had to report back about how well they do, but I missed them :(

Now I'll get back to my essay - I've got the whole day off w*** to do it but I need my fix of MSE chat forums first as I missed it last night - I usually save it as a reward for doing some work!
Just call me Nodwah the thread killer

I had originally posted this in the local money saving tips board but I didnt realise at the time that the offer was nationwide (not sure if it covers 'all' areas though?), so thought I should post it here too.

Got a leaflet through the door today offering compost bins at bargain prices. From £8 - £20, you get a pound off if you order online and its free delivery too, theres also an option to buy a kitchen caddy for £2 (only if you buy a bin) they usually retail at £5. https://www.recyclenow.com/compost

There may be offers on for other parts of the country too, you just put in your postcode and it gives the prices.

I'm probably being a bit ignorant here, but I was amazed at the amount/sort of stuff you put in them! So I think a great bargain as it doesnt cost the earth in both senses of the word :)

Great, logged on tonight with the sole purpose of finding a cheap composter! Thanks so much just what the Dr ordered. Just got to convince Mrs McDuck that this is the way forward!

I got one delivered by the LA selected company - just dumped on the front lawn with no delivery note or anything. also missing the free caddy - apparently they've been out of stock for months.

Then my girlfriends uncle gave us three. My allotment is full of compost bins now - and I'd only just built my massive compost bin.
