    disable this service using services.msc

    getPlus_HelperSvc.exe

    kontiki, nokia still there.

any better yet? does ie work better than chrome?

if not, create a new account, and try that

    also

    start, run

    chkdsk c: /R

    then reboot
    !!

  • Done all that bar the Kontiki/nokia - Don't know whre to look for these. They're not shown in services MSC.

Explorer is noticeably quicker now, though I still prefer the use and speed of chrome.

Browsing isn't really the issue, once it's up and running it's not to bad, it's starting it from cold.

p.s That chkdsk took over an hour but did complete successfully.

    Ninth Anniversary
I would run Chrome over IE. More security and it is lighter on the system.
