Ooohh, i love threads like this! I always meal plan, i find it saves so much cash. I tend to make all my dinners from scratch too as i love to cook.
Our shopping week runs Friday to Thurs. Friday evenings are the best time to food shop, its soooo quiet.
Friday - Lamb mousaka (microwave meal, DH was away for the week) and veg
Saturday - Lamb kebabs from the takeaway
Tonight - Chicken cooked in beer (waitrose receipe, looked intersting!), mash and veg
Monday - Spicy turkey meatballs and rice
Tues - Penne with anchovies, chilli and purple sprouting broccoli
Weds - Fishcakes, new potatoes and veg
Thurs - Frozen pork, pinenut and lemon meatloaf with jacket potatoes and veg
Im trying to eat healthier but also trying to use up bits from the freezer and there is a huge amount of sausages in there to use up. DH will be happy as he loves anything with sausages......0 -

Wow, meal planning the day you get home from hospital with a baby: very impressive!
Tonight: lentil soup
Tues: lettuce soup ( not home made, cogent garden whoopsie in the freezer )
Wednesday: steak and rocket salad
Thursday: something with courgettes.....maybe pasta.
Friday:mussels, probably valentine warners recipe which we have never tried
Saturday: out for the day.....probably have supper out
Sunday: chicken somehow with a sauce, veg and mash.
I'm having meat mid week as needing to keep iron levels up. Still working though the freezer, want it to get empty enough to defrost. As soon as sorting gets going, then defrost the other freezer (dog food freezer). Eating hot food in this cold weather is important to me, and keeping it all easy ATM.0 -
