It is hassle but you paid £48 extra because you didn't have one. It's the question we all have to ask ourselves with Ryanair -- will I go through the hoops or pay?
The flights were bargains anyway, even with the £48 extra. If I'd had waited a few days for them to send me the card I'd have probably lost out more than £48 because the flight price had gone up! Plus a lot of messing around.
With easyjet we now have no choice. We have to pay.
Good. Everyone pays a relatively low amount rather than most paying a high amount. That's a result:)

You get a voucher code when you buy the card and redeeming this voucher code off your flight deducts the £6 off your flight cost.
Are they still doing it? I can't see it advertised anywhere.
I understand almost to mean the vast majority. It is reasonable to assume that someone who gets the card is using it for Ryanair therefore almost does not even come close. You do not seem to understand the T&Cs of the card!
I understand what I read on the fees schedule, and that says they will charge for all UK transactions after 31 March 2012, and they don't state any exception for Ryanair.

    The exception for Ryanair:

No transaction fees will be levied on cardholders for any payments made on the Ryanair.com website.

Thanks - they should update their fees page to make it clear though! Wonder how they'll react to the new rules coming in?

I have been trying to take out a Ryanair Cashcard for the past 2 months, keeps on failing at the last stage. Tried many different browser & debit cards with the same fail messsage, This is happening to a lot of people, not found a solution yet.

So for anyone who in the past used a credit or debit card to book Easyjet flights, they'll now pay an extra £1. If they used to use an Electron Card then it's an extra £9.

I think this is the pertinent thing at the end of it. Should have just increased the cost of their flights by £4.50 pence and waived debit card charges.
  • Why boycott an airline?

Do your research and go for what is cheapest for where and when you want to go.

The £9 admin fee is disappointing as I have an Electron card but I also have Nectar points which I wouldn't use before as Easyjet charged a fee regardless.

It makes those points a bit more useful to me for Easyjet.

Is this correct, isn`t the £9 admin fee on top of all other card charges?

There are no card charges anymore apart from 2.5% on credit card transactions.

The £9 admin fee replaces the card charges.
