where is she doing for that much??
    ((hugs)) all round

This morning was carrot, spinach and orange juice (yum, very sweet) and the pulp will become carrot cake. I'm starting to wonder if I can't taste bitter as things OH recoils in horror at, I love, and my favourite foods are all bitter ones apparently.
I've got tonnes of revision to do today but will sneak in some other little jobs on breaks like washing, cleaning the kitchen, planting and baking this cake.

    .

The total cost was £1400.00  but we have paid £100 deposit, she is off to Kenya next year with college, working in an orphanage and elderly people's home, and with people with learning difficulties, it will be such an experience for her, so I am determined she will go, its just finding the cash now !! x
  • Morning all,
Just thought i'd show my face so to speak else my resolution of posting will be out the window. It's a blustery day here, woke me up in the night. Must get something done today houseworkwise- have yesterdays pots stacked in kitchen still and seeing as i have a friend popping in later i MUST do something as i don't seem to have done anything for last 2 days. Also got kids passport renewals to sort, i'm toying with the idea of checking and sending but thats extra money on top, might just settle for sending them together special delivery, decesions, decesions.
JG can't believe you're still hanging on!
RedRuby sounds expensive, my daughter declined on a 5 night trip to Santander, think that was almost £500 but i suppose we would hve found it if it's what she wanted.
Hester good luck with the change

  • Quick post from me to say to Gintot that we have been discussing a meetup in your hometown, off the board - possibly in March - why don't you start a thread, as the Bristol person? X

Is it one of the charity trips that advocate fund raising to pay for it? You could suggest a 10k run or similar for her to try to raise money or doing local odd jobs with people donating to her trip.

Quieter day for me today. Need to have a good read of the documents from Lionsbridge and make sure what I am signing up for. Hopefully the tutoring agency will be in touch soon.

    Morning :hello:

Right then, I now have a crew of two. Welcome to my ship, miffy and mrsd. I see you already have suitable attire and can speak pirate  First things first - get down on your knees and scrub them decks :rotfl:

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours online, looking at job sites. Nothing's changed with them, they haven't improved - I search for admin within 10 miles of Glos, I get accountant in Bristol. I search for sales assistant, I get party plan rolls%20eyes.gif

I'm using my diary a lot, I have lists for jobs to do on different days. Not everyday things, but the once-in-a-while things that I forget because they're not routine. I'm trying to put three things a day on it. It's keeping me busy and a bit focused, I need to feel like I've achieved something each day.

    Morning all,
Have our gurggling 11week old DGD3 here with me, DD2 and DGD2 have gone swimmimg. They will get back here about 12.00, I've told DD to leave the girls with me so she can go home and catch up on some much needed sleep. She'll collect them about 5pm. I've made her lunch of sheperd's pie mash broc and cauli for her to take home and eat in peace. I know it's a lot to take on but this is the 3rd day DD has been up since 3.30am. and as the last night feed for DGD3 is 10.30pm she is shattered.
It's DH's birthday today, I got him some moleskin trousers, a wool jumper and 2 shirts so that's him fitted out for me taking him out to a restaurant tonight, he fancies a full steak dinner. DD2 will drive us to and from the restaurant so we can have a drink.
WM and BM on, still have a pile of ironing to get done before DD gets back. Just put DGD3 down for a sleep, ironing here I come.

NMLC, what a good friend you are, I remember you doing that before.
MAVERICK, hope all goes well for your DH,
JULIE, hope ROO gets a move on today.
    LAMEWOLF, hope your pain eases.
    UOLYPOOL, How's DS ?
    Lots of ((((((hugs)))))) to all.
REDRUBY, We sent our DG1 there 2 yrs ago doing the same thing and she had a fantastic time.
