I too was shocked by the figure for benefits, but its got nothing to do with this board really. Other than to say there are people living on a lot less so it IS possible to reduce expenses. Its just a balance between getting the best possible value (see crazy people totally addicted to vouchers) and making reasonable adjustments.
I thought my one seventy shopping bill for two people was good, only to see people with kids managing on two hundred. Take heart from this you will be amazed what you can save once you start trying it. My partner used to like expensive shops, well still does, but I just ask her to try the cheaper alternative. If its rubbish then we don't get it again, but 9 times out of ten its just as good as the expensive one. You just think the premium one is better because of the fancy packaging/advert etc etc. Good luck and keep us posted.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0 -

This is what I was trying to imply, however being rather fed up at the time I didn't put it quite so nicely :]0 -
I have nothing to contribute to this other than to say that I'm going through financial turmoil for the first time in my life and never realised how embarrassed and disempowered it makes you feel, apart from the financial practicalities.
I'm not at bankruptcy and don't think I'll get there but I wanted to pipe up with my empathy.
Good luck in sorting it out and keep your eye on the positive, even though it's hard at times..
Best wishes.0
