Every time I get an Insignia as a hire car I end up praying that my Mondeo is fixed quickly

    Says it all really!

If only every car was as reliable as a Vauxhall.
The Mondeo must spend a lot of time in the garage.

    Opinion?

F'ugly. Like a 2002 Nissan Primera only more so.

Not comfortable, from my limited experience of two days driving one.

Good diesel engine, although if anything like the 150BHP Vectra not especially reliable due to DMF/DPF problems that are worse than the Mondeo.

Typical Vauxhall really. Competent but depressingly dull. Ford seem to have plasticky down to a fine art -- with Vauxhall it's just general numbness. The one I drove managed to be crashy over bumps *and* wallowy around corners -- I didn't think that was possible to be honest, and I've owned some crap in the past.

Not fussed. Will probably prove adequately reliable over a long period of time like Vauxhalls usually are, even if they do drop to bits as they get older.

It's been back several times after someone drove into the side of it and the "insurance approved" garage did a crappy job. It's not really the fault of the car that the door doesn't seal properly after an accident and cowboy repair. Unfortunately I don't get a choice of where to take it as it's a company car.

I think I'm going to just live with it, it's just wind noise now, in order to avoid another Insignia.

Nothing is/was as cyote ugly as that Primera :A

I ran my old vectra from 1 to 9 years of age, it was simply the most boring car I have owned long term, BUT, in all that time it cost 1 cam sensor, £24, and that's it if you exclude brakes and tyres, neighbour that bought it ran it for 4 more years before the head gasket failed and they scrapped it:T:T:T
