    Hi Fin,

    Hope you are well?
I'm afraid I've never got to go with them yet. I won twice and the first time we couldn't go cos of the snow and the second time they didn't have any suitable days!:( Did go to Legoland in Denmark with them years ago but we took the car with us. Know there is parking there but it is expensive!

Aww sheils I never realised you didn't get to go - sorry about that I remembered you had won but must have missed you saying you didn't get to go - the snow threat hangs over us heavily up here doesn't it - especially after the bad day last year when it was like a scene from the film 'the day after tomorrow'

Don't normally get snow in our corner Fin but it was mainly the Newcastle area that was bad last year. Eviledna went on the sailing we had booked and said it was terrible on the boat - really wild with plates falling off tables etc and there was snow in Amsterdam too I think she said. DS would have been sea-sick and maybe DH too so it was probably for the best. Our boiler packed in that day too and we had the coldest weather I have ever known that weekend so we would have come back to burst pipes probably. Are you thinking of going?

Yeah Shiels - LJH bought a new car for his xmas & is dying to do more than just go to work in it - he is in love with it & hasn't looked in my direction since lol so we thought newcastle at 2 hrs 50 mins from here would give it a good run & we could have a wee day in amsterdam where we have fancied going to for a few years

OH and I are going to Amsterdam in April. We are using te Dutchflyer which travels from many stations in East Anglia and also Liverpool Street London.

Dutchflyer takes us to Harwich , we are going on Stena line to the Hook of Holland and Dutchflyer from there to Amsterdam.

Staying a couple of days then the reverse journey home.

Never been to Amsterdam before but it looks lovely.

Yeah I would love to see Amsterdam and was really upset at missing my break there. DS really not keen on sailing tho so will wait until we can go our two selves - we might fly there tho.

Must admit sailing is not my favourite means of transport so a little nervous about the crossing.

Have booked a nice cabin as we are taking evening sailings so hope I can sleep most of the way.
