Working okay for me so far today.

it must just be me, wonder if I have been blocked/suspended or something, not had any messages or emails.

    thanks

thanks, I use a Mac, so I don't know if it is to do with the flash player change recently, I just fired up an old windows laptop and got in ok, but the ancient windows lappy is not workable, so it looks as though I can't use FB anymore.

*update* after logging in on my old Windows lappy I can now get in on my Mac, which makes no sense whatsoever, but if any other Mac users are having probs today , worth trying,
    thanks everyone*

Hi! Got replies from techie forum - what a wonderful bunch - so pleased I belong to this site. You are all so nice and helpful and i thank you. Techie just gave me the strength to follow thru, using facebook website address and not link and sure enough - I have changed my password to mega strength!! I am now back on facebook.

And now i am very grateful to facebook for picking up on this. However, it does make me wonder how someone in germany was trying to hack into my account (wouldnt have got much :rotfl:) and where they got my details from? Also, all the bank crap that comes thru and also rubbish phone calls (I am very particular with the info I give, but obviously somewhere along the line my details have been sold on).

Yet, being an ancient seasoned comper, guess I have to go with the times and its not going to put me off. You are all :A's Alf xx

Someone in San Diego tried to hack my account the other week :eek: xx

My god - that's a tad further than germany!!!! :eek:However, how do these hackers get our details?? I find it really worrying and even though i have a new password, i do wonder if it is worth the hassle? May still close the account cos have no wish for nasty gremlins to stalk me via internet!!! I dont know, what does every one else think? I have never had this before and its really thrown me. Fairly worried. xxx

If its causing you to worry maybe you should leave FB for awhile. Is the worry worth what you gain off FB? You could always rejoin when or if you know more about it and feel happier to use it again. Seems at the moment you will be concerned everytime you use FB.

    Why cause yourself unnecessary worry?

Hope everyone is well. Enjoy your evening.
