Electrical fault - who's liable for damaged appliances?

    Er keep up, EDF Energy Networks was sold by EDF and are now UK Power Networks.
    I somehow doubt it was a network fault as the DNO who have to be more pro-active would normally be in touch as there are safety issues re-connecting supplies following a loss of neutral.
