To be fair, I think that accolade actually belongs to Santander! :rotfl:0 -
I tried to speak to them on their 0845 number at about 9.30 am. Was cut off after it had rung for about two minutes.
I assume they must be very busy etc., but is this not a poor show for a bank, especially one looking for new customers?0 -
Anyone know. approx, how long it takes for Shawbrook to acknowledge receipts by FP bank transfer and do they send a statement?
Thanks0 -

Hi
Shawbrook Bank has got in touch and asked us to post responses on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.
We would like to apologise to anyone who has experienced problems applying for Shawbrook’s savings accounts.
We have received an exceptionally high level of enquiries and applications following the launch of several market-leading savings products in the past few weeks. As a result, some customers have had difficulties reaching our customer service team, and we are taking longer than usual to process new applications.
We are taking this issue very seriously and our team is working round the clock to process new applications. We will be paying interest on the funds of customers who have applied by post from the day Shawbrook receives their cheque. We’re aware that it should be easier for customers to switch to a different account while their application is still being processed, and we are working to make this more straightforward.
Thank you to all customers who have made enquiries or chosen to save with Shawbrook. We appreciate your patience during this extremely busy period, and apologise for any inconvenience and frustration the delays have caused.
• Hi Old Slaphead,
We send out letters within around three days of receiving receipts. The letter will confirm the receipt of payment, including the amount that came in and the new total balance.
We hope that answers your question.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

At a guess I would say it means they want to try and make it easier for customers who's applications are still being processed to change their mind and maybe go for one of the other accounts that Shawbrook Bank is offering.
I may be wrong though......Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
I received all documentation yesterday and made my deposit by Fast payments. Does anyone know do they confirm receipt or do you just live in hope it has arrived.0
