I will always value the learning to budget, I know when these debts are paid off, we will be so much better off for this lesson.
Teetotal? Not for me, I am looking forward to being able to buy the wine I really want, as opposed to the one I can afford. Still scares me slightly, the thought of being debt free in 8 months time.
I want to be scared E2, very scared!
But, in all seriousness.... I know what you mean. I intend to keep posting to support others but to keep me on the straight and narrow also. Will be good to have the next aim in mind, like pay off mortgage and plan for retirement.

That's probably a good idea. plan for "something" that requires discipline and......er........planning. That way I' m not just drifting and not looking at every penny.

2 years and 8 months with Stepchange. I used My Money Steps for the budget sheet, the CFS appears to be top secret and only available to the organised debt advice providers. The CAB online seem very similar to Money Steps. Still nothing from creditors and am hoping this is not just a Christmas lull.
Speaking of which, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all.

Question for you good folk......
I paid another debt off with the latest DMP payment but it would appear I got the balance wrong as according to my credit report it was settled LAST month!
Question is.......do I have to do the chasing to get this back? or will Santander inform Step Change?
Creditor is Santander (loan) and provider is Step Change. The amount is £114-00 so no small beerI'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

I would inform CCCS but be prepared to chase the return of the payment myself.
