Thanks for sharing ;) Welcome back and well done on the debt reduction - wow that's some going. I'm sure you are proud of your achievements so far?

Haha thank you... I'm full of useless information, feel free to question my journey so far if you're having a confusing time, always try and help if I can. Proud? I guess so :) more on a mission to get the remaining 3664 paid off, sometimes forget that I've already paid over 8k since 2009 since starting my DMP.. survived my second CCCS review yesterday, they're lovely really and no one questioned when I couldn't pay in February when I lost my mum.. my creditors didn't even chase me that month, I almost started to think they'd got a heart!

Not sure how far in you are with your plan, I'm guessing not far but let me know when you're able to wallpaper your toilet with office of fair trading leaflets and we can compare lol... on a serious note, they do stop... not heard from 'my three' for quite a while... I had heard MBNA have sold all their debts to Moorgate as they're pulling out of the UK... that made me feel a bit better!

Anyhoo... I shall shut up cos I could rant for a while...

Well after 6 months of self managing our dmp, we have decided to go back with CCCS. I have got over some big hurdles on my own, threats of court from HSBC's in house debt collectors and lots of hassle. but to be honest, last month and this month we can only do token payments. and we then get hassle for that although I have explained why!

So enough is enough! need some backup so hopefully by 1st June we should be back on track with CCCS and then I might get some peace!

Hope everyone elses dmp's are going well
LBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(

Not far at all to be honest. Have my CCCS forms signed but bank account slow to start up but everything is sitting here ready to go once I get the new account number.

But I am embracing my new budgetting skills, have stopped calling in to the coffee shop each morning (saving £10 per week :o), Friday is normally a very bad day, being in work at 7am I would normally call in for breakfast somewhere but this morning I didn't (saving another £5). I have now started my spending diary also.

    Onwards and upwards :)

Absolutely! You made the biggest leap forward when you sent your forms off.. I applied for a basic account with Natwest they gave me that one and a normal one.. good job really as they've stopped me being able to use my basic debit card in any machine other than a natwest/rbs machine.. not good when you live in the middle of nowhere. I admire your organisation skills and it's so good to see you so positive about things... don't let any of them put you off your end goal, even when they try every trick in the book they'll still not be able to take what you don't have.. even the courts would agree if it came to that. Those morning coffees sure add up!! it's shocking when you sit down and work it all out... I think I was spending 78 pounds a month on diet coke at one point! I now get coffee out the work machine for free lol

Hi all, just a quick question.
We are currently at the setting - up stage of a DMP with Payplan. I have a current account with Natwest which I have no debt with ( I only use it for Child Benefit payments), I am also a joint account holder of a Santander account.

Are Santander and Natwest linked? I'm worried they may take money out of the Natwest account. I had a quick search online but it seems if my Natwest account hasn't been changed to Santander then I should be OK, but just checking with you guys.
    Thanks in advance
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

Good luck with it. Have they accepted it yet?

Hey all so just an update!

Recieved a reply from another creditor today Capital One who have accepted my reduced payment plan... it states they will be defaulting me but that's to be expected I suppose! Still good to know they are ok with the reduced payment plan.

Some advice though if possible... I cancelled all my DD on my old bank account like advised, I have recieved letters from two of my creditors asking me to set up a new direct debit but nothing about CCCS or a payment plan etc.... should I just ignore these letters? I would assume they are automatic letters as I cancelled my DD's.

    Thanks in advance!!!

Well, a few months into my plan and I've had a rough few months. I am positive that from next month all will be OK. I was desperate and took out another PD loan to cover a car service and vets fees, but that's all paid off now. I was also in debt at work and stopped making payments to a friend I owe money to, but that is also sorted.

From next month I should be able to start putting some more money away each month - currently I save £20 a month which always gets transferred to my current account before the end of the month.

I am feeling hopeful because the next few months I will get a bit of extra pay at work as I am working abroad. I have sorted all my DDs too. :)
