Hello everybody,
Pretty new to the forums here but I started the process many months ago like everybody else. I applied for Notts & Derby and got a score of 35. Thought I did pretty well until I was put on the reserve list for both. My position on the reserve list for Notts was 53 and lost hope so got on with it. However, last week I was offered a provisional offer for Nottingham. So I guess my advice is don't give up and remain hopeful. Its not over yet0 -

I agree, I received a provisional offer for Derbyshire last week.0 -
Waiting on a glasgow/east dun start. Heard from a friend who was also waiting on one that she was given an 11th of June start last week but havent heard personally. The only contact I've had off them is they asked for more info during the period I completing my postgrad so I gave them that over the phone. Hopefully it wont be too long now...
The annoying thing is I actually dont care about a start date, I mean 11th of June would be ace but at this point i'll take what i'm given. However, location is really important to me. I asked for anything inside glasgow. 1hr each way in communiting is totally acceptable for me ( which is potentially the worst i'd have if they give me glasgow) but if I get east dun I'm easily looking at 1.5/2 hrs each way....... which would really get me down. Dont get me wrong, I'd still take it but it really would be a bit of a crappy return after the months of my life I've given to this process.0 -

Not me for Notts, although I had a call last week just to check I was still interested in the post and advised that I probably wouldn't hear for another couple of weeks... due to checks etc...
I keep checking my phone a hundred times a day lol...0 -
I accepted the provisional offer more than 4 weeks ago and my CRB application is yet to be submitted to DS. This is unbelievable.0

Slowly?? That's an understatement! I give up. I feel like I'm going to be stuck in limbo forever! I'm lucky in that I'm in work, but for everyone out there who is currently unemployed and waiting for the DWP to pull thei fingers out, it must be even more frustrating to be waiting and waiting. Every day I think 'it must be today that I'll get the call' then it gets to about this time and I realise that's another day of no contact.£2012 in 2012 - £13810

At least the 20 working days is up for South Yorks tomorrow. Hopefully we can see some movement this week.0
