DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

Quick question, if someone who got an offer could reply as im having a few issues with the "next steps" part. Feel free to PM me if you dont want to post the answer publicly

2 questions, it says they want reference for my previous and current employer, plus a character reference, but it only have 2 reference pages to fill in, so how do I do all 3.

Second question, my current employers HR dept who do the references, only have a phone number and address, no email address. I cant progress the app without an email address it seems. I asked them about it today and they insisted they have no external email address they can provie me with. This seems stupid, but anyone got any ideas how I can get around this?

Finally, can someone provide the recruitment helpline number? I trawled through this thread and cant find it, even though i know its in here somewhere!

She's hoping for Cardiff/Caerphilly/Penarth as we live in Cardiff central. She scored 36 in the interview. She also knows of two people who scored 40 and 39 in the SEW interview. Argh it's such fierce competition.. let's hope tomorrow is the day!!

References - I personally, gave my current employer and a character reference as they specifically mentioned the character reference - but yes - only room for 2!

As for the email address can't you give your line manager's email? I think that's what I would do and let him pass it to HR if it comes to him by email.

I had the same issue re HR, so I provided my recent line manager and a previous line manager details, both of which would be able to provide character references if required. Trouble with using HR depts is they only send bog standard references ie how long you worked there/sick leave etc whereas line managers or similar will know you as a person, rather than a number. So in answer to your first 2 Qs, use two people in a business capacity that can also vouch for your character.
