Just a quick thought, do you think they are interviewing enough people to fill the merit and the waiting list. Has anyone on here not had 4 or over for their interview comps. What I mean is everyone has done so well to get to interview so the scores had to be good to get that far. Therefore all the people going to interview have already passed the test but the interview is being used to rate people in order. Random I know but thought I would throw it out there as a talking point even though I probably haven't explained myself too well. Best of luck to everyone. :)

Not necessarily, some parts of the country never had their competency marked. The online test was tough but there was a couple of dishonest ways to get a high score.

Having said that, I'll probably be the first to admit I got 4 or below here. :rotfl:

(Not got my feedback yet but I'll know by the end of the week according to the interviewers)

Also MakemBill said they don't know what the first example were, this wasn't true for my interview as the one of the interviewer asked me why I was using a different example for one of the competency. Again, probably only related to those districts that skipped the competency sift.

Well, that is me sorted ;)
  • I would just like to say something...(trying to be as diplomatic as possible I might add)

A number of us on here have now been to interview and are trying to be as helpful as possible to those waiting to be interviewed.

Myself and others have answered questions as much as possible, but I think it is unfair to ask for specific questions (which do vary district by district) from others interviewed in your district.

I have been pm'd a number of times for specific questions I was asked, and while I am more than happy to give general guidance, I personally am not willing to give up the questions to all and sundry. It gives people an unfair advantage, and this forum is not meant to be a 'cheat sheet' q and a.

Maybe some posters will not agree with me, but I feel terrible having to reply back and say I won't give them the questions I was asked (met with a pretty aggressive reponse :(), as I try to be as supportive as possible.

So, those waiting to be interviewed, please think about the position you are putting those who have been interviewed in by asking for the questions, and perhaps what you might do if the tables were turned.

    Thank you :)

I have my interview on Friday and as much as I am nervous and want to be as prepared as possible, I don't want to know wha the specific questions people had... In fact that can make things worse as each set of interviewers is going to ask different questions, and all that will happen is that people will get prepared for what they know and could be caught up in that.

I do think there has been some great advice from most and the best is to be as prepared as possible... I am panicking and worrying about the questions, yet when I interviewed in 2009 and did very well, I just answered the questions with very little preparation and wonder will I do as well now........

Sorry if I'm waffling I have had a few glasses of wine..

    Good luck everyone

    Hi all,

Had anyone who had interviews for the Thames Valley area received their interview feedback yet? Been a week and I've heard nothing so far :( Can't remember how long the interviews went on for either.

    Many Thanks
Hi, did you get any feedback on your written competencies?

I went for an interview in TV and found my results half an hour ago, gutted, 33345.:( My interview was awful, 30 minutes and I did not get through my examples before they cut me off to go on to the next question. I adapted my examples (I had more than one for each comp) to answer their questions. I was also at a disadvantage as I did not have any feedback on my written competencies.

I am not sure what to do next.
  • do anyone know the breakdown of the interview, i.e is it 45 mins just for asking questions or these this time include paper work. thanks
